Extremely swollen gums and baking soda?

Hi bee and friends,

I went to the dentist yesterday and he agreed with my theory that my inflammed

gums have nothing to do with plaque or poor dental hygene. I have advanced

adrenal fatigue, probably some nutrient deficiencies although Im taking vit c

and b vitamins. Again, I'm not fully on the program yet, but I am taking almost

all of the coconut oil and 80% of the supps.

My actual question is about tooth paste. I've been using 's Powersmile for

the past 5 years and have liked it, but I just realized that it has flouride in

it and some natural whiteners. I'm not sure what whiteners exactly because it

doesn't say on the tube. Anyhow, I'm interested in using baking soda as

toothpaste. I tried it last night and besides feeling a little unusual it

seemed okay. I have read in a few places that it can be a little hard on

sensitive gums though. That is my fear. I would love to hear some testamonials

of people with gingivitis that did okay with baking soda or some suggestions for

other ideas. Also, my teeth hurt when I was swishing with food grade 3%

hydrogen peroxide so I don't want to use anything with that. Otherwise, I oil

pull every night with coconut oil and oil of oregano.

Thank you for any help that you can offer. Two dentists have suggested that I

go to a periodontist for my gums. Any suggestions or words of warning in that

regard? It seems very unsafe at this point for anyone to go messing around

under my gum line....

Thanks everyone!

Beth

+++Hi . Wow, that was a very short time for you to get your coconut

oil intake up that high. Please ensure you go on this program gradually as

explained in Curing Candida, How to Get Started:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php

+++Adrenal fatigue is common for people who are unhealthy, and there are many

things on my program that helps them. So ensure you are taking all of the

supplements in the recommended doses as described in my articles, and also that

you take 1.5 teaspoons of a good ocean sea salt like Celtic, which has been

discussed on this group recently - here's my ad for it:

+++First, your own body produces baking soda, even in the mouth, so it wouldn't

cause you any harm.

+++There are many messages on this group from people whose gums and teeth are

improving a lot using baking soda. Baking soda is all I use on my teeth too.

It is also great because it dissolves the mucus film, called biofilm, that forms

on the teeth in order to protect the teeth from starches, sugars and toxins.

Acid-producing bugs are created by the body in bioflim and that's what causes

cavities, etc.

+++So please search our past messages for them - you must be on the Group's

Website, click on Messages on the left menu, and use the correct search box.

Also, my teeth hurt when I was swishing with food grade 3% hydrogen peroxide so

I don't want to use anything with that. Otherwise, I oil pull every night with

coconut oil and oil of oregano.

+++Your own body also produce hydrogen peroxide, so it isn't harmful either, but

it must not be swallowed or taken internally since very small amounts can be

toxic. The reason your teeth hurt is because the natural dentin on your teeth

isn't strong, and because the teeth are pourous something like hydrogen peroxide

gets into the inner part of the tooth pulp which can make them hurt. So it

isn't caused by H202 at all.

+++It would be better to wait and do this program, which improves your teeth and

gums. Two women reported having natural dentin form smoothly over their teeth,

which was healthy and strong, when on this program.
