I'd asked previously about a friend of mine who was " pre-diabetic " but eating low carb, high fat but was concerned about eating 'too much' protein because it caused her blood sugar to go up. Knowing she should be getting about the same amount of protein as I am (68-70g), I was shocked to find out she's consuming between 45-50g because she's trying to keep her blood sugar low. So she is why I'm trying to make sense of all this: so it sounds like it is normal for blood sugar to rise after a meal high in protein but that with continued healing, it will right itself?
