Thanks for that, ! > > Sharona > @@ Hi Sharona, Yes, 5-7 days/week workout sessions, is too much for any Candida sufferer, in my humble opinion. For Candida sufferers in general, its best to keep your exercise to a minimal i.e walking, rebounding, yoga, and tai chi. Especially, if one is very weak and sick or if not, one could slow down or halt their healing process. Since too much exercise in this weakened state can steal the body's energy to heal. However,if one's Candida is not too severe, one can get away with some short sessions of moderate exercise. Though, if one feels weak on certain day/s, then one should not exercise whatsoever. Since the body will need all its energy for detoxing or healing during those times. Remember, exercise detoxes and mobilizes toxins in the body. Therefore, one day you may have lots of energy for exercise and the next maybe not so much. So take that into consideration if you do a moderate exercise routine. Sharona, I too, use to do workouts of 1 - 1 1/2 hours per workout years ago, however, I have learned over the years through research and experience this is for most people, unnecessary and unwise. Thus, I keep my workout sessions short with quality effort. The idea, is quality NOT quantity for best results! Long workouts are really only meant for competitive athletes i.e professional bodybuilders or the Olympics. And even still, lengthy workouts aren't continued long term. Workouts should range approx. between 30-45 minutes with rest periods. The workouts should consist 2-4 quality workout days/week with weights and alternate days are low impact cardio i.e stationary bike, inclined walking(not running), or swimming 15-20 minutes/ cardio workout. A 3-5 minute light warm-up is sufficient before the workout. More than this is not necessary nor wise. Otherwise, one risks burning out before their workout is complete. Moreover, one also risks great injury. I've seen people who have performed 10-20 min cardio, warm-up sessions before their weights, only to be injured/crushed under a weight due to the lost energy from their warm-up. Which resulted in premature fatigue. Long warm-up sessions are ill advice from naive fitness trainers/instructors. Stay away from these guys! Cardio is overdone & over emphasized. People, don't realize they are getting cardio benefits from the weight-training as well as muscular development. Too much cardio can also steal from your muscle development and also makes one more susceptible to injuries. And one definitely, rarely loses any weight. Sadly, many in the gyms, like to believe otherwise. Basically, more is not better. Lastly, with Candida, if one exercises moderately its best to workout with the weights 2 alternate days a week for no more than 20-30 minutes/workout. The low impact cardio, I mentioned, can be done a couple off days 15-20 minutes/workout. As a reminder, pay attention to your energy levels each day and back off and rest when common sense calls upon. This concept of training is conducive to healing. Furthermore, it is also balanced & flexible allowing the athlete whom wishes to continue exercise for mental harmony and fitness during the healing process. Once you've healed your Candida issue, you may increase your workout sessions with weights to 4 days/week if you desire. Weight issues aren't about calorie intake at all. In fact you can intake very high calories like on this diet yet not gain any weight. It is about the " kinds of calories. " as Taube writes in his book Good Calories, Bad Calories - see my Weight Lose Article to understand more: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/weight1.php > And the moon was full last night and my eczema has been getting steadily worse for the last few days! But of course it is mind over matter, so what you believe is true can actually happen. Bee
