I don't want to overdo it. We mostly eat following a weston a price/primal approach, but I'm always so unsure of what supplements and doseages to give to my children as there is a lot of conflicting advice out there. +++Hi , What does SPD stand for? We aren't doctors so we can't know such things without having to look them up. Many people come here from the Weston A. Price/Primal approach since their bodies are still not able to heal and detoxify like they should. And there are many very good reasons why those approaches don't help. Here's the article for babies and children, which gives the doses of supplements: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/baby.php If you supplement with magnesium you must also supplement with calcium since they work together. For that reason magnesium shouldn't be used to help constipation. Curing constipation takes time and patience, like any other natural healing does. Ensure your daughter only has well-cooked vegetables as explained in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg3.php She may need to go on an all liquid and pureed foods diet too, but I won't get into that until you tell me what SPD is.
