I was not having issues with constipation until I started this diet. I'm going into week four, feeling FANTASTIC, but can NOT move my bowels! I tried the mega doses of vitamin C yesterday. I started off with 4000 mg at 9:30 in the morning and took my last 1000 mg vitamin around 11:00. Lastly, once the candida diet is over, as in you feel completely healed, what will a typical diet look like? The same as what we're doing now but adding fruits and starchy veggies, limiting carbs, but making sure all grains and legumes are soaked and prepared properly? I looked at the Optimal Diet link. IS that what is desired once the candida diet is done? >I've been pouring through all the information here for awhile now >and couldn't find answers to the above. I have not had constipation like this since I was a kid and cured myself after doing the candida diet about 10 years ago. +++Hi . If you change over to this program too quickly you will become constipated. That's why it is important to go slowly, following the instructions in Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn16.php Here's what is written in that article about constipation: " If you do not consume enough fats in ratio to proteins it will cause constipation. It is more important to get your fat ratios up to the recommended levels than to increase protein too fast. Maintaining a correct ratio of fats to proteins will become more important as you lower carbs. " > > >>>I need to incorporate more fats and I'm hoping my coconut oil will > >arrive in the next few days. For now I'm eating much more butter > >and animal fat, two things I avoided in the past. My main fat > >sources are butter and animal fat, along with avacado. I'm taking > >fish oil and flaxseed oil as well. +++I do not recommend taking flaxseed oil as explained in How to Successfully Overcome Candida: " Most diets today contain an excessive amount of omega–6, therefore it is important to ensure the diet contains more omega–3 rich foods to offset this imbalance. Good sources of omega–3s are meats and eggs. However, the best source of omega–3 is found in fish. That is because omega–3 in fish is high in two fatty acids crucial to human health, which are called eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These two fatty acids are essential to health, and also in preventing heart disease, cancer, and many other diseases. EPA and DHA from fish do not require conversion by the body like alpha–linolenic acid (ALA) found in flaxseed oil. " " Flaxseed oil is not recommended for omega–3 because it contains a form of omega 3, called alpha–linolenic acid (ALA), that must be converted by the body to the forms it can use, which are EPA and DHA (found in fish oils, and cod liver oil). Most unhealthy people are incapable of making the conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA, therefore they need to get their omega 3 from fish and not take flaxseed oil. " Note the last line. +++At this point in time you might have to backtrack and add some carbs you eliminated too fast, until you can increase your fat intake. > > >>>I'm considering the 9 day diet although I'm nervous because I have hypoglycemia. +++The 9-Day Program doesn't make your hypoglycemic. However since you've been hypoglycemic in the past your body will retrace all of its ups and downs as you program on this program, which is called retracing - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php >>> I hope the fats will be enough to carry me the first two days. Can I then add pureed meat on the third day? And how can you pour boiling water into the egg drink. Won't it cook the egg? +++It's okay to cook the eggs. > > > Lastly, once the candida diet is over, as in you feel completely > healed, what will a typical diet look like?
