Guest guest
Hello! I have been on the diet for 17 months. When my daughter was born 8 1/2 years ago the midwife said that I had a candida overgrowth at my anus, but I had not noticed this myself. However 2-3 years later I began to have anal itching. Even after being on the diet for 17 months I still have this problem. Based on the retracing of one month for every year I should be done with that symptom. Perhaps now it is a healing reaction instead? I have had a few cheats (one of the times was when I had my appendix out and I was off the diet for 5 days). I am consistent with supplements but not with enemas (I have 2 kids so it is hard to have the privacy). Coconut oil helps a lot, but I would like to be done with it! I would appreciate any thoughts as I am a little worried as to why I am still having problems. I did a search of the messages but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks, Collette

There are many reasons the the anus can be damaged or stretched beyond normal, i.e. during child birth, constipation, and irritations such as toilet paper (particularly when bleached) or other irritants. When that happens your body creates inflammation, which can involve infection with candida or other bacteria, to heal it. Also your body detoxifies many things through the large colon which can be irritating. If you had diaper rash as an infant or had constipation at anytime during your life that area may still need to be retraced. However, consuming plant foods (includes vegetables, spices and herbs) that aren't well-cooked means you'll be getting more fiber. When fibers and other indigestible material enters the large colon your body has to create bacteria in order to break it down, so that causes problems too. There are things you can do without relying on enemas, as follows: 1) Only consume well-cooked plant foods (includes vegetables, spices, herbs), as explained in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg3.php 2) Use unbleached toilet paper, and don't rub too vigourously so it is irritating. Finish cleaning up with wash cloths and water. 3) Ensure you are consuming enough fat, at least to the lower range according to your ratios.
