You do understand that numbing and muscle aches and pains are caused by toxins? Often people crave chocolate because it contains magnesium, so it will throw off your cal/mag balance. > > I have the magnesium and calcium citrate the NOW brands but I have a devil of a time with the ratios..anyone tell me exactly how much you use to get that 300 mg twice a day.. I fear I am getting too much of one and not the other. +++Are they both the powder? Look at the serving size and how much cal/mag is in it, and then measure it accordingly. For example, the NOW Calcium Citrate Powder is 700 mg per 1.5 teaspoons. You can take 1 teaspoon for 1 dose which equals 466 mg. Since 1/2 teaspoon = 233 mg, take 1/8th teaspoon rounded, or heaping, for the 2nd dose to get as close to 600mg per day as possible. > > I know its probably the candida..and I didn't have any chocolate for three days- I am the one who has the two hershey kisses a day..so weird lol.. today I had one hershey kiss but it didn't even taste satisfying and I didn't get that addict urge to eat more so there is some progress. > > This has been such a journey so far as many have said before..its not just about our physical bodies but encompasses body mind and spirit.. > > Can anyone give me any other pointers when you have a strong urge to cheat.. I try to think of positive things..instead of how whatever I want to cheat on is going to damage my body I feel like fear is not the way to combat my addictive behavior..in the past that is probably what I have done and it doesn't work for me at least. +++Here's some suggestions for curbing your cravings: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/help3.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee Happy Mothers Day Bee!! Yes they ( mag and cal ) are both the powder and both are the NOW brand and thank you so much for telling me how much to take of the calcium.. I definitely was taking too much of the calcium citrate. Okay one more thing.. the magnesium citrate I take is 630 mg for 1 teaspoon so for my first dosage should I take 1/2 teaspoon and then for the second dose take 1/8? I apologize I really have a mental block when it comes to math. Thank you Bee!!!! It is okay to take a little more magnesium so you can take 1/2 teaspoon twice a day. Bee
Guest guest
Abbie, I can't help you with the numbness. As for calcium/ magnesium, have you tried doing th eggshell? I like it much better. And for craving a specific food, I will occasionally see my husband eat something that was a comfort food for me that really will kick up a sudden craving. This may sound silly, by it works for me: I visualize blackness when I look at the food. I want the food because of he emotional connections to it, so the blackness breaks that enough for me to snap out of it. So silly, I know. I've also found that it's much easier in the beginning if you just throw out the foods you shouldn't have. Baby yourself so that you only have the right options. Eventually, your cravings will fade and your willpower will be stronger. Hope that helps, Dawn > > Bee/Moderators, > > I keep getting this intermittent.. numbness seems like it is on my left side..my left leg sometimes feels like it wants to drag however it never has but I feel like I am dragging both of my feet like I just walk awkward. Guest guest
Howdy Abbie! I had to admit that I am WEAK. It is so easy to set one's self up for failure. I loaded up NINE paper grocery bags out of my pantry with foods that are No-No's and gave them to my neighbors. If the temptation is not in your home, there won't be the struggle to do the right thing. The urge will still hit, but you can't FEED it. It will pass. I read on Bee's site that taking a Vitamin C helps the urge pass. I, too, feel that this is a journey of mind, body & spirit. If one fails, all fail. When one improves, all improve. I am not the same person I was on March 12th when I started. I have lost more that 62 pounds since Jan. 1st. QUIT buying the Kisses!!! INGREDIENTS listed in order of highest first: Sugar, Milk, Cocoa Butter, Chocolate, Soy Lecithin, Vanillin, & artificial flavor. NOT ONE OF THOSE are on Bee's program. So you are wasting your time, your money, your efforts, and your health if you continue to eat those EVIL little Kisses!!! Plus they're wrapped in ALUMINUM. I am rooting for you to conquer these urges. I still get the urge for a giant bowl of cereal with raisins. But I'd have to knock on my neighbor's door & ask for my cereal back, HAH!!!! Guest guest
Dawn, Between your suggestions and DeBBie's I did awesome today and think I am going to be " on a roll " so to speak. I did exactly as you said...was in a co-workers office with a big chocolate dish and just visioned all blackness and walked out with...NO CHOCOLATE! and house is void of all bad foods. Thank you so much for your support Abbie > > > > > Abbie, > I can't help you with the numbness. As for calcium/ magnesium, have you tried doing th eggshell? I like it much better. Guest guest
Kidding aside, I am ME!!! I checked out for about 1-1/2 years while the Candida grew inside me to catastrophic proportions. I have always had a HAIR TRIGGER with the wise-cracks & wit. But that left as the candida grew. I was on Bee's program for 13 days when my husband packed his bags & threw a hundred dollar bill on my desk. Adios Mu cha cha! I had a choice right then & there. I could boo-hoo & belly ache about the man that done me wrong & wallow in self-pity & get depressed, whoa is me, what ever shall I do???? Or I could do what I have done, the BEST choice of all. Regain my health by following Bee's program. That 13 days showed me that it was a program that would work. Not only to combat the candida, but to re-build my entire system. And with that, I will regain my mental acuity. And with that I can bolster my deflated self-image. And with that, I have renewed FAITH in myself, the world around me & the people in it. It hasn't been easy financially. I sell on eBay, but have been unable to write a listing for over a year due to brain fog & the inability to concentrate. So I didn't have a personal income & was totally dependent on the Mr. I've had to sell many items that I've cherished for decades. I view this process like, well at least I got to enjoy those items for so many years. It's like that old GOT MILK commercial where a boy is picking on a girl. She drinks her milk & turns into a stunning Super Model. And won't give him the time of day! Well, I intend to be HER, only 55 years old. I am PULLING for everyone in this group. I would not wish this ailment on anyone. If I find a tip or a trick that helps get me through the day, I feel compelled to share it. I have gleaned so much info from what others have shared. I am feeling so much better. My guts have calmed down so drastically. The retracing symptoms are a pain in the back... seriously, my back hurts... but I know this is a process. And when I read & share, I know that I am not alone anymore. DeBBie in TeXaS > > DeBBie I love reading your posts.. you have such a fire about you!!! > I had a chocolate free day today!!
