Guest guest
Hi Bee Thank's for the quick reply. I wouldnt mind trying the combination that you are doing with the thyroid meds, however the Army only carrys Synthroid, which is ashame, because I think that the Natural dissicated would probably be a great addition. Three years ago, my family rushed me to the hospital because I was having severe chest pains, after numerous test, ekg's, echocardiograms, cardiac catherization. The doctor diagnosed me with Myocarditis. He said that the left ventricular of my heart was slightly enlarged, probably due to a virus. I had just recently gotten over a severe case of Bronchitis. It had been so bad that I was having to prop myself up at night in order to breathe properly. My heart rate used to run around 80, but since the night I was rushed to the hospital, it has been running anywhere from 90 to 110 even when sitting and relaxed. My blood pressure stays low at like 90/50 or 100/70 , but I always have a high heart rate. After going back and forth to the hospital a few times, he told me that although the left ventricle looked better after sometime, that he thought that I would always have abit of a heart problem, which I did not completely understand. I was dealing with a German doctor, they lose patience very quickly with their American patients because we ask questions, as to where the Germans don't, they just take the advice of the doctor and go on. So I didnt get very far with all of this. I had to report to our Army clinic with the report from the hospital, and then they ran only blood test, and one EKG and told me that I didnt have a heart problem. Which I do not believe, as I have such a high heart rate from day to day. And if I over do things I get very weak very fast and start breathing heavy like Im gasping for air. I'm 5 foot 6 inches in height and I weigh 150 lbs, so Im not like incredibly overweight, I'm fairly active. The chest pains are usually in the center of my chest between the boobs, just slightly to the left of the sternum. I also suffer terribly and I do mean completely awful upper back pains which feels like its behind the shoulder blades. Sometimes when Im sitting still I can feel like a slight vibration back there like something is having a spasm. I've been to the doctors so many times now. Have had so many different tests done now. I had them do a xray on my spine, but they said it looked ok, apart from finding bone spurs on my spine. Nothing was followed up from that. The Army clinic really does not seem to care. I even had one doctor there tell me that it was all in my head, this made me severly depressed, because I'm not some idiot that is imagining things. I'm 47, A mom of four children, I used to be a very active woman, but now I have so much going wrong with me, and yet every time I have seeked help I have come up with no true help. Sometimes I get my husband to rub our electric massage hand held unit over my back when Im in severly intense pain, and I have noticed that when he goes over a certain part just to the left of my spine towards the center between the two shoulder blades that it feels like he's hitting something that sends like a shock like feeling around the left side going towards under my left boob. Its uncomfortable, but makes me wonder if this is all related. Do you know what I mean? The leg pain is usually the left leg, and the pain seems to come and go, like a shooting type of pain, and then it will subside. Usually on the front just slightly towards the right of the front of the shin. I know its not shin splints because I know how they feel. I do have one cup of coffee in the mornings, I used to drink it through out the day, but since trying to be on your diet, I have cut it down to one cup a day, which I'm proud of lol the pain in the leg is definately not a charlie horse either. I used to get those alot as a kid at night time in bed for some reason. Hugs to you Bee, Carol From: beeisbuzzing2003@... Is there a natural alternative to taking Synthroid out there besides Armour or any other prescription? As I absolutely hate the thought of having to depend on a chemical drug for the rest of my life, and would love to learn of a more natural way to replace the hormone that I need. +++Hi Carol. I also do not have thyroid, so I take a combination of synthroid and dessicated natural thyroid meds (I live in Canada so it isn't called Armour). We don't have any choice other than these meds my friend. But you can take a combination like I do, but I take a pill 3 times a day which keeps the blood levels up, which are: one 30 mg natural in the morning one 0.025 mg synthroid noon or so one 30 mg natural in the morning Since I'd taken synthroid for so long I tried taking only natural dessicated thyroid, but didn't do well, so I worked out the amounts above and my doctor wrote the prescription for them. It has worked well for about 12 years. I've seen endocrinologist too and they agree it is a perfect combination. >> Also I have noticed that if I take too much Coconut oil my heart rate goes way up which scares me because one of my many ailments is chest pains. And I'm sure its my heart. Do you think that I should wait a few hours after taking the Syntroid before I consume the Coconut oil? +++Coconut oil does speed up metabolism so it can increase your heart rate, which isn't a bad thing. Could you describe your chest pains, i.e. where exactly is it located in your chest, does it come and go, and how long have you had them? Also have you ever had a diagnosis by the doctor you had heart troubles, and if so, when (in years or months)? Chest pains can be caused by stomach digestive issues, so that's why many people end up in emergency thinking they are having a heart attack, but they don't. If you are concerned get a diagnosis from your doctor so you don't have to worry and wonder about it. > Also another thing that I have noticed is that no matter how much I try to adjust my Magnesium/ Calcium I keep getting lower leg pain, as soon as I consume Magnesium. The same thing happens when I take the Sea salt. I am still taking it, but just wish I knew how to stop the lower leg pain. +++Is it pain, or do your muscles cramp, like a Charlie Horse, since the difference is unmistakable. If it is pain it wouldn't be caused by an imbalance of cal/mag or minerals, since it is caused by toxins. If you get muscle cramps, which leg is it, left or right, or both? +++Could you be having anything that is diuretic like caffeine, teas, lots of green leafy vegetables, baking soda, green drinks, chlorophyll, etc.??? Guest guest
Hi Carol, I am a former massage therapist and this sounds to me like it might be a trigger point in a muscle in your back. The definition of a trigger point is tight spot in a muscle that will radiate pain to a different area of the body. Of course, it's hard to say if that is causing this pain that you describe, but it might worth a try to find a massage therapist who is knowledgeable about trigger points in your area. Not all massage therapists know how to treat them, so it's best to ask around. Toxins are the cause of these trigger points, so Bee's diet alone will eventually help, but having your trigger points treated might just relieve some of your pain in the meantime. Here is a link for you to take a look at some of the charted trigger point. I haven't read that website and I don't endorse what they might say. I just wanted to show you the charts. You have to scroll down the page a bit. http://liveonearth.livejournal.com/805589.html Group Moderator > <snip> > > Sometimes I get my husband to rub our electric massage hand held unit over my back when Im in severly intense pain, and I have noticed that when he goes over a certain part just to the left of my spine towards the center between the two shoulder blades that it feels like he's hitting something that sends like a shock like feeling around the left side going towards under my left boob. Sorry. I do believe this program will help your heart too, but I cannot make promises since there are too many factors involved. However, advised you on this. > > The leg pain is usually the left leg, and the pain seems to come and go, like a shooting type of pain, and then it will subside. It involves the nerves, and sometimes shooting pains means the nerves are waking up and becoming more active, even though it can hurt. > > I do have one cup of coffee in the mornings, I used to drink it through out the day, but since trying to be on your diet, I have cut it down to one cup a day, which I'm proud of lol +++Good for you! Guest guest
Hi Bee, The only natural thyroid hormone I can obtain in Sydney, Australia..is Armour...The ingredients listed is: calcium stearate, dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch, glycolate and opadry white. I heard this is not the orginal Armour as they have changed it over the last few years apparently. I have an appt. with a GP one hour drive away next wednesday for appt etc but I thought I would do my research first....in you opinion Bee is this a waste of time...I am at a loss as to what to do....in your opinion may be better just staying on synthetic oroxine and tertroxin.... Thanks Bee,
