Guest guest
Hi Bee, I am 31 and would like to begin your program. I used to weigh a healthy 120-130 lbs some years back.I am 5ft 2 inches tall. About 4 years ago I moved to a different location and my health took a turn for the worse and I went down to below 100 lbs. A year later my baby was born and after that I was completely unable to regain any weight. Now I am just about 100 lbs but I am desperate to gain weight. My ribs show and most of my body fat is gone. I do not look that terrible, but I know it is not healthy. I have been taking clove tea, coconut oil and cayenne pepper and almost eliminated sugar, plus I take no dairy and hardly any fruit. My body produces very little estrogen now that my weight is too low. Please advise how and where I should begin with your program. I live in Africa now so some of the products you advise are not available. Much appreciated. I wish the other women who have gained weight would appreciate what they have! Here curvaceous women are considered highly attractive. Thank you Bee for your great work.
Guest guest
<snip> > So weight may be a matter of what a person " thinks " they should weight, rather than what the body needs to weigh. Women don't like it when the size they are " used to " wearing no longer fits them. ******Thanks Bee. I suppose this goes along with trusting the wisdom of the body and it's healing process. > > I've known some people who would rather look good and be slim rather than be healthy. If you are one of those people you shouldn't be on my program. *******Although this statement is true of me in my youth, I no longer want to be this person. I want to stay the course and gain my health. Thanks for the frank evaluation. Nina
Guest guest
Hi! Just wanted to say how I find it funny that a woman who is from Africa, where they do not have access to food in the gluttonous way we do, says that curvy ladies are beautiful there, when here, where there is food everywhere, really skinny women are for some reason thought to be beautiful. I personally like to work out and take care of my health. Fitting into clothes is a bonus. I look at most of these models and think it is gross to be that skinny. Societies picture of the ideal women is very unrealistic. Most men I know like " real " women. Not the barbie doll on your tv screen. They have personal trainers and chefs. I am going to cut down my workouts and if I gain some weight on this diet, who cares? I will finally be healthy, which is the point. Thanks again Bee and the crew, you really make a difference and you have great patience in dealing with everyone! One woman has been on my program 19 months but claims she has had no improvements in her health, which I find hard to believe, yet she is also in the normal weight range. > > So weight may be a matter of what a person " thinks " they should weight, rather than what the body needs to weigh. Guest guest
Hi, Sharona: I too think it's strange how skinny models are supposed to be here (think " heroin chic " --yecch). I am 6'1 " and took a few modeling lessons 40 years ago, but even then I wasn't skinny enough for that business. Cheers. Guest guest
Hi, Bee: I guess I should just keep on doing what I'm doing, then, and let the healing come in its own good time. Kind of what I thought would need to happen. I'm not super worried about looking good rather than being healthy... obviously I do want to be healthy more than anything else. I was getting a bit worried that I was blimping up so much that a lot of clothes wouldn't fit any longer. (Hey, it was hard to find clothes that fit even when I was thin.) Like I said, I'm glad that I don't have to work in someone else's office and commute. I can work in sweat pants and a T-shirt if I want to. It does irk me when (for instance) some rude person sneers at the way I look and is obviously assuming that being thin is everything. (Fortunately, not the man I live with--but, for instance, an uncle used to constantly ask me how much I weighed). Even when I was still going to " regular doctors " at the county health clinic up here, one of them told me I should lose weight and the diabetes would not be an issue. Told him I was on a low-carb diet. For some people, they just don't look beyond " looks. Guest guest
Hi Bee I was not sure if I should post this or not since it is not saying exactly what we are saying here, but it is saying some very similar things. I have lost a lot of weight on this program, but I am still overweight by the medical fields standards. This does not worry me at all, since I am becoming increasingly well in all of the areas that I need to, and eventually I am certain my weight will settle at the weight that is best for me Anyway, here is one article I read that reasures me that my outlook is correct http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/4468001.stm Kind regards Joanne
