,

I dunno. Been years since I even tried walking on my hands. LOL

I got my driver's license photo taken out of focus on purpose.

Now when I get pulled over the cop looks at it [moving it nearer

and farther, trying to see it clearly]... and says " Here, you

can go. "

Just pull the connector straight out from processor. This you would do

when changing mic covers too. Then plug new coil in.

But you dont ahve lonfg to wait so your audi can do it. Sure hope she

can figure out whats going on with the rechargeable battery and charger.

Hi ,

I don't think you are supposed to put batteries in the Dry and Store.

On the cable coil as long as the processor is turned off it shouldn't hurt the

processor when you replace the cable coil. You just pull the old one out and

put the new one in. You will need to install a magnet in the coil too.

Best regards,

Jim

Jim,

I'm afraid I can't do any of those things because of my severe CTS and because

the magnet is too small for me to screw into the coil. I'll wait to have my audi

help me. Perhaps we can work on it together and I can give it a try, but I have

alot of difficulty grasping objects especially if they are small.

and Jim,

I feel like such an idiot. I just tried pulling the coil out of the processor

and it wasn't difficult at all. I didn't know how much strength I would need to

have in order to do this. Now I just have to figure out how to screw the magnet

into the coil. Any suggestions? Which direction do I turn it?

Counter clockwise to remove the magnet. You will have to try and get it

back where it was so its not too strong or weak. You can do this somewhat

by touch.

Stupid question. Do you know of an easy way I can open the Fed Ex box? I tried

opening it with the blade of a scissors, but almost cut myself in the process. I

can't pull the seal because it's too secure.

I can't wait until I have my CTS surgery in a few months. The pain I'm having is

making simple things impossible for me to do.

, who needs 2 large mochas

By the way, I know there is a pull tab on the Fed Ex box, but it's too small and

difficult for me to pull. Do you or anyone else have suggestions as to how I can

open the box? Everytime I receive something from them, I dread it because

whatever I ordered comes in a difficult to open box or so much bubble wrap that

I can't even begin to cut through the tape.

Even I have trouble with those packages. I think you will do well to

wait til you see your audi.

You want TWO mochas? How about a double mocha? LOL

Hi ,

That is great news! The magnet goes in clockwise. There is a slot on the back

of the magnet. A nickle or a thick screwdriver will work.

Hi ,

Could a neighbor or friend do it for you?

Hi ,

Do you have a pair of pliers? Maybe a neighbor or friend?

I asked a neighbor to help me. I want to see if I can do this myself. I decided

to wait until tomorrow though. I'll let you know if I have any success.

Hi Jim,

Thanks! I'm going to give it a try tomorrow and will let you know if I'm able to

do this without a problem. My audi isn't always going to be there if I need to

do this alone, so I want to make sure I can do this myself. Besides, I've had my

first CI for 4 years so I think it's about time. LOL.

Jim,

I don't trust anyone to touch my CIs except for my audi and CI surgeon. I'm

paranoid about my processor being dropped or damaged without me knowing what

happened.

My plans were diverted by a bad and unexpected asthma attack I had today. Temps

were in the 90s and after coming in from the heat (I had to be outside today), I

read something on the computer that made me laugh and between that and the heat,

it culminated into a scary asthma attack. I thought I would need to go to the

ER, but I took my rescue inhaler and am fine now. I'm just a little shook up

after what happened. I really don't want to try working with my CI at the moment

because if it doesn't work as expected, it will only frustrate me and I don't

want to have another attack. I'll just wait until tomorrow. I'm also confused

because I haven't heard from my audi yet about my appointment, so I have no idea

when I'm due to see her. Today has been a rough day and I'll be glad when it's

over. As far as my CI is concerned, I'll try working on it tomorrow.
