However if you have insulin impairment like most people today, and particularly diabetics and your body still hasn't corrected it, your blood sugar will spike up when you eat higher carbs. Everyone should watch their carb intake in order to stay healthy anyway since carbs are one of the biggest causes of health issues today, as well as not consuming enough protein and fats from animals, getting too many toxins, etc. etc. Read Dr. Weston A. Price's book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Good Calories, Bad Calories by Taubes, Life Without Bread by Lutz, etc. which document how nutrition corrects diabetes, heart disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, cancer, etc. - here's my recommended books - choose your country first: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/amazon2.php Also read about Dr. Jan Kwasniewski's Optimal Diet (in Poland), who has been successfully curing these diseases with his diet for over 30 years: http://homodiet.netfirms.com/ Also look up Jay Wortman on the internet who is using a diet similar to mine and Dr. Jan K's to cure the same diseases.
