I've had a wide range of bad reactions to products. Sometimes it is simply a feeling of not feeling " right " , while other types it is a very obvious symptom -- sharp winces of pain in the head, nausea, muscle aches/pain, chest pains, anxiety/panic attacks, hyperactivity/sleeplessness, increased ES, etc. Obviously, all of these could be viewed as " detox symptoms " , however there are only so much detox symptoms that I am willing to put up with... Generally if I have a bad reaction, I will try to reduce my dosage and see if I can eventually build up a tolerance for a product. In some cases this is successful, and I am eventually able to ramp up to a tolerable dose. In other cases my reactions just get worse -- even at the tiniest doses -- and in such cases I discontinue the product. It's certainly possible that the supplements that I need the most are the ones that I've given up due to bad reactions. However, I'd like to think that one can recover without horrible side effects along the way. Marc

Susceptibility to colds and flus are also a potential negative side effect from detox supplements... :-) Usually some combination of Cellfood, H-Minus, Echinacea, and Agrisept-L will keep me from constantly coming down with these... Guest guest
I myself have been drinking alot of water and taking pain pills when needed, also been eating alot more fruits and vegie's have seemed to help to. I just got word today that my medicine needed for treatment will be delivered on wednesday, so I'm very scared as to how I might react to the meds but the dr. said I will be watched very closely because of they way that I do react to most medicines which is usually backwards, Like things that put you to sleep will keep me up and stuff that is non drozsy will put me to sleep, it's weird but then again I've always been a little backwards. lol. Deb is right prayer is a fantastic thing to do, I'm not a religous person but since I got clean and sober I do say a prayer thanking him for helping me through the rough times and the serenity prayer comes in use alot during the day as a reminder that I can't control everything. This is a great place to be, the people here are fantastic and will help if they can. You have friends in here that know what your going through so don't be afraid to ask. Guest guest
Hi ,  Shoulder, neck or back pain is not due to hep C. You can expect to feel extremely tired depending on longivity of the disease and that increases as the liver cannot filter out the toxins in our foods and chemicals we are all exposed to every day. When your stool turns light, the liver is in bad shape. How long have you been diagnosed and when do u think u got it?  Patti  From: yp_julie_braintree <julieat575@...> Subject: Re: SYMPTOMS Hepatitis C Date: Tuesday, March 23, 2010, 4:50 PM  Can someone please tell me what symptoms I should expect to have? > > HAVING BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HEPC I KNOW FIND MYSELF IN THE POSITION OF NOT GETTING ANY TREATMENT, SINCE I MOVED TO A DIFFERENT LOCALE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A GREAT DEAL OF CHRONIC SHOULDER PAIN,LEG AND ANKLE SWELLING GETTING DIFFICULT TO WALK ANY SUGGETIONS WOULD B APRECIATED >

Guest guest
As the liver losses the ability to clean the blood, the heme from dying red blood cells, they only live 90 to 120 days, will start to be cleared by the kidneys. As the stool starts turning light (clay colored) the urine will turn dark (tea colored). There will be other signs of liver problems during this time; swelling legs and belly (ascites); varices, brain fog. > > > > HAVING BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HEPC I KNOW FIND MYSELF IN THE POSITION OF NOT GETTING ANY TREATMENT, SINCE I MOVED TO A DIFFERENT LOCALE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A GREAT DEAL OF CHRONIC SHOULDER PAIN,LEG AND ANKLE SWELLING GETTING DIFFICULT TO WALK ANY SUGGETIONS WOULD B APRECIATED > > > >

Guest guest
Are you taking any of the companion supplements and salt loading? Cheers, Deborah in the UK > > perhaps someone can suggest if i am having some detox related symptoms. I started taking iodoral some months ago, but when I was able to convince my physician to switch me to naturethroid, i reduced the dosage so as to try to determine where my best daily level of naturethroid should be. I am waiting for my first test results to be relayed to me after a couple of months on the naturethroid. My present dose is 1 1/2 grains daily. I introduced the 6 mg of iodoral back into my daily regimen about 5 days ago. It may be unrelated, but I have had weakness when I get up accompanied with profuse sweating, sometimes a hot flash as well. Now I am well past the age of menopause, and had closed that chapter many years ago. Also, I have felt quite depressed. Some of the other issues that I am experiencing include many on the list of detox symptoms. However, with the autoimmune difficulties i already have, it gets to be so hard to tell for sure. I was mostly concerned with the weakness and diaphoretic responses I was experiencing as well as the sense of hopelessness. Would anyone have any definitive ideas about this being detox or not? Maybe I have developed a virus, or maybe there is something else going on. I just wondered if anyone had experienced any of these particular symptoms before. >
Guest guest
I do think the symptoms you're having could be detox (at least depression is one for sure), and you do want to be sure to be taking the companion supps to make sure you're nutritionally optimized for the iodine. Salt loading can relieve symptoms when they are detox, and if symptoms lessen with salt loading then you know they were detox related. -- At 04:12 PM 6/5/2010, you wrote: >Are you taking any of the companion supplements and salt loading? > >Cheers, >Deborah in the UK > > > > > > perhaps someone can suggest if i am having some detox related > symptoms. Guest guest
i wasn't sure this was detox. i have a great deal of stomach trouble taking supplements, but i have them here and will begin. does doing a salt loading process once handle the problem, or does it need to be done repeatedly? I tried the salt loading with celtic sea salt followed by a lot of water, and frankly, i was surprised that i did not have more of a response to all of the water. i am wondering if anyone has gotten through all this, reacquired energy and loss the excess weight. thanks. ann > > I do think the symptoms you're having could be detox (at least depression > is one for sure), and you do want to be sure to be taking the companion > supps to make sure you're nutritionally optimized for the iodine. Guest guest
Ann,I was wondering if you have tried probiotics and mega digestive enzymes with meals  for your stomach? My stomach was queasy for many years and that really helped me to heal my gut I also went off dairy, sugar, glutten and yeast and even nightshade vegetables to heal my gut.. I took zypan or betaine HCL with meals too as when we age we produce less stomach acid. I do get tired of regular doctors telling me all these weird things are related to aging though when I can find something somehow that undoes them. As to your second question, I have been on iodoral at 50 mgs for 3 years. I have lost 55 pounds so far. So yes the weight loss is possible. I  have finally lost the baby weight and my baby is 27. Lost between kids but not after my last kid. So hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Bee! Ok so I am just about one week into the program and I noticed I am starting to have some symptoms pop up. I had a massive headache after the first day but nothing else since. But over the past few days I had some pretty big time hair shedding and some acne.(All issues I have dealt with before the program) I am not really discouraged because all most all programs state that you will have these type of symptoms before your body resets promotes healthy skin, hair, tissue, etc. So its kinda of encouraging...but I am just a little worried is it a little to early to have symptoms being its only been a week? I have eaten really nothing but organic food the past two years but this is the first week off all sugar. If you can provide any ideas or input much appreciated! also just want to make sure paprikia is ok right? is warming a cup of water with a slice of ginger root ok? Thanks bee! all the best!
