Guest guest
Hi, I posted a week ago about my dog having terrible skin problems - he was diagnosed with malasezzia pachydermatitis and enterococcus, after being on antibiotics for 33 days and Ketoconazole ( which I was terrified giving him) he was on the ketoconazole for 22 days, he is now off all meds. The dermatologist wants him on everything for 60 days, but the internist felt he had enough of the antibiotics, and that I could stop the ketoconazole, and re-start if I had to. Ive changed his diet, and have been trying to incorporate supplements, and changing things that may have caused his skin to flare up. I was worried about giving the ketoconazole, but now Im worried that Im not. Any advice on this medication? I had his blood tested, and thank goodness its okay 2 thinks were a little high on the liver and potassium. Thanks for your help, Barb
