Guest guest
Dear Keely, Thank you for sharing your story. This is so encouraging. What a testimony. Well done with staying the course and being diligent as well. [ ] a success story Dear Bee, I have been on your program for over 28 months, and I have seen tremendous changes I wanted to share with you and the group. Before this program I was just surviving life. My poor diet, posture and aggressive sports-based lifestyle caught up to me in my mid-20s and at age 27 I was experiencing symptoms of degeneration that are not typical of someone that age. The most debilitating symptoms were muscle and joint pain, pain due to damaged spinal discs and poor quality sleep. I was also obsessed with food, it literally drove my life, affecting my relationships and quality of life. I had seen doctors but no one had any answers or any solutions. Then my best friend discovered your website and I have been on your program ever since. SYMPTOMS BEFORE DIET Fibromyalgia Arthritis, joint pain and stiffness Herniated and bulging cervical spinal discs Food/carb addiction Hypoglycemia (headaches, irritability, reduced vision) Teeth grinding and clenching (leading to gum recession and sensitive teeth) Migraines Acne, at times severe Irritability and low tolerance for people Poor quality sleep Poor thermoregulation (easily cold, night sweats) PMS Sinus infections Anxiety Co-dependency Low vitality, lost my zest for life I am happy to share that all of those symptoms have pretty much disappeared. Some symptoms I still experience but at reduced frequency or intensity. There are a couple of minor issues I am still waiting to heal (mostly for vanity, like whiter teeth and whiter eyes) but the progress has been amazing. Through your program I have transformed myself physically, emotionally and mentally. I feel stronger and smarter than ever before, independent, liberated and more peaceful. My relationships with friends and family have improved. Life is full of possibility now. I used to think, " I can't wait until I'm healed so I can go back to ___ again. " But that was a sick person talking. Even though I am much healthier now, I have no desire to go back to my old ways of eating or living. I am so grateful to you, Bee, for your courage to go against the grain and your generosity, to the group for its energy and to my friend for sharing it all with me. Thank you everyone. Guest guest
Keely, Your story is awesome! I've been on the program for almost a year and the last 2 months have been the most intense, non-stop detoxing so far. I sometimes fear that it will never end, but I know that it will. Anyway, your story made my day. Thanks. Guest guest
All, I'm glad to see a few responses to my testimonial. I wanted my sharing to brighten someone's day, and it looks like it worked. Thank you for listening. Yes Bee, go ahead and post the story as you wish. Josh - I feel ya on the detoxing. I detoxed/healed in sooooo many different ways and places. And honestly, it was not predictable or following any expected timeline. At first I tried to analyze everything I was going through, relate it to past symptoms etc. but then I realized it was silly to try to figure out. I chose to relax into the process and trust my body to do the driving. So keep on keepin on with your food choices and relax while your body chauffeurs you to better health. You're closer than you think. Irma - When I started this program my acne was not constant (it had been very constant and severe in my early 20s) but would show up in monthly breakouts. I'm sorry I can't say exactly when it cleared up but I haven't had any breakouts for quite a while now. My guess is the timing is going to be different for each individual. Just know that it will get better! Trust that your body is healing in the most efficient order it can. You got this! Finally, I thought I'd share one more tip for people in the beginning stages of the diet: I found that my stress levels about all of the " work " to keep strict (aka time spent in the kitchen) dropped dramatically when I did two things. 1) Started taking coconut oil and butter straight. Just let it sit in your mouth to melt, then chase down with some water. Easy peasy. 2) Shifted my perspective to view food as fuel and not a source of pleasure. I stopped seeking variety and instead settled into a routine of eating the same meal for weeks or months. I eat two meals a day, same thing. I realize that this perspective shift itself requires a certain amount of healing and time on the diet. But once you start to notice you are viewing food differently, consider it a milestone! Take advantage of it by picking a couple meals that meet your ratios and settle in with those. You'll be amazed at how much time and energy you free up by not worrying about what you're going to prepare. See , now that I'm so much " smarter " I think I can write long emails to the group. Never did that before! Keely

Guest guest
Keely, This too made my day. I am discouraged today, detoxing heavier than I'd like, wondering if I will ever be different. Your story mimics mine to a T. I can't believe it. The only difference is I am only on month 4. I have a long way to go, but I will keep going. I printed out your story so I can refer back to it on days like this. Thanks! Amy
