Doctors are most concerned when the cause is B hemolytic strep. While the bacteria itself poses only a minor threat to the host, it is the allergic reaction to immune complexes created by the body to fight the germ that can cause scarlet fever, rheumatic heart disease, and glomerular nephritis. Because the throat affords easy access, symptomatic relief is often quite rapid with the administration of GSE. Thoroughly mix 15 to 20 drops of NutriBiotic GSE liquid, or two tablets, pulverized, into 6 to 8 ounces water or diluted juice. Gargle deep in the throat before swallowing. Swallowing the solution insures that areas of the throat inaccessible to gargling are reached and also helps treat the infection systemically. For small children, mix one or two drops into any heavy syrup, and spoon it in. The syrup will slow things down and give the GSE longer to work.Click here: Grapefruit Seed Extract is a natural quaternary compound synthesized from grapefruit seed and pulp With the citricidal(source natural) it takes less drops(3-6 per 6oz water) because it is concentrated. Guest guest
This is NOT true. Doesn't your homeopath have remedy that matches your symptom picture? Because he is both a family pract. and homeopath and he had just prescribed the antibiot. I didn't really jump on the idea to figure out a remedy for my sore throat. He had mentioned it but at the time I was so sick and tired and just wanted to get home. I'm calling him later to see if he can recommend something because my throat is KILLING me! Lots of people are recommending GSE and colloidal silver, but aren't giving me any real research or info. on dosages etc. It's hard to research when you are sick and I need to be non-contagious so I can go back to work with kids. It's so tiring wanting to do the right things for your health. I wish I could just be ignorant again and believe what doctors tell me to do! Thanks again. Guest guest
Garlic has been found to be more potent than penicillin for treating strep throat. You'll need to eat it raw, though, since cooking it destroys the compounds responsible for the antibiotic effects. Odor controlled garlic pills are said to be useless as well. You first need to crush it with the side of a large knife, or chew it a little before swallowing to release the allicin. I just chew it a little, then quickly drink it down with water. It feels good on the throat. Eat as much and as often as you can handle. I also take vitamin C in large amounts (2,000 mgs every two hours until I reach bowel tolerance) and vitamin A in the form of beta carotene. Antibiotics do nothing for me since I am resistant to them due to taking tetracycline and erythromycin for seven years straight when I was a teen for acne. I had no clue at the time, and it really messed up my immune system. If I ever have a life-threatening infection, I will surely stay away from a hospital since there is nothing they can do but make it worse. Fortunately, there are some very good alternatives to antibiotics that I've had great success with. I'm prone to bladder infections which I can always clear up with herbs and cranberry extract. Likewise, I've eliminated strep and other infections by eating garlic. This is not medical advice; just letting you know what works for me! Guest guest
Hooray for Garlic! My husband also chews garlic....often tucking a clove of it in his cheek. Guest guest
Is the antibiotic component completely destroyed? If not, then very large quantities of garlic partially cooked might do the job? Guest guest
I tend to like really spicy foods so it's not too bad for me. I have to have the water with it or I can't do it. You can also put it in food like mashed potatoes, but make sure you chew the pieces a little so the garlic is crushed. When I'm sick I know I need to have the garlic so I just make myself deal with it. Everyone is different, so eating garlic is not for everyone. I know I could never get my daughter to do this and I won't even try! By the way, to get rid of the smell of garlic on your breath, chew on some parsley. He's had nothing to eat, which is okay, but he can't seem to keep down liquids either. I keep trying to get him to take a sip here and there, which he does...he is very cooperative....and a bite here or there and very slowly of pieces of a cracker. He's asleep again. Donna P.S. Guest guest
Just sent some of the homeopathic info. You find the ONE remedy that matches the symptoms the best - cough and fever and sorethroat symptoms. May want to take my class. But if you are getting over and over and your son as the candida, you really should see a homeopath and get this sorted out once and for all. Guest guest
Strep is caused by a compromised immune system -- I'm living proof! EVERY year I would get strep between Christmas and New Years, for about 7 years straight -- until I started working on building my immune system, eating better, getting adequate sleep, eliminating toxins in my home, etc. Last time I had strep was nearly 20 years ago, and my kids have never had strep, in spite of being exposed repeatedly by friends, classmates, etc. Also, bear in mind that stress has a very negative effect on your immune system -- and the move may be more stressful to your nieces (as well as everyone else) than they realize.
