Guest guest
Well, this is the party line but strep is not the virulant thing that it used to be and rarely causes any problems with organs Antibiotics are ordered for even suspecting Homeopathy can treat the whole person including the sore throat and bring cure without antibiotics. Sounds lke they need to see a homeopath. There are rebound infections after use of antibiotics in many cases. Guest guest
Yes, homeopathy can easily treat symptoms attributed to strep We don't concern ourselves with so-called bacteria or virus that supposedly cause. I don't think she was saying she had heart problems Yes, untreated infections that are connected with strep can go to internal organs according to allopaths, but I question some of that. I think suppressive treatment is what makes it go internal. Assisting the symptoms to be effective with homeopathy provides a cure. Guest guest
Hi -- In your case you should be very careful due to your heart issues. But after you've treated it (homeopathic or with antibiotics) and it's gone, boost your immune system - Pre and Probiotics, garlic, vitamin C and a really good muliti for insurance (since I don't always eat right). Years ago I got strep Every year just after Christmas... I'm thrilled to say it's been over 10 years since I've had it last, and my kids have never had it (and yes, we've been exposed many times over the years). Guest guest
It is estimated that 2000 people a year die after taking penicillin. How many die and it is not reported or connected we do not know. I have NEVER taken a anti(against) biotic(life) and survived just fine. All drugs are poison. People draw false conclusions when they take drugs while being sick. For example one takes an antibiotic and gets well and credits the drug for getting well. Another takes vitamins, gets well and credits the vitamins. Another takes green tea, gets well and credits the tea. I could give a 1000 more examples and stuff people take, but the point is people like me don't take anything and get well. So where is the healing power in all this stuff people take. The problem is we have been conditioned to take something when we are sick. A hundred years ago there were M.D.s who were actually called the " Do nothing Dr.s. " Outside of using their common sense, and putting people to bed and advising them NOT to eat, they did nothing in the way of giving drugs which they knew had no power to heal. The only power to heal comes from inside the body. If it isn't there it isn't anywhere. This is why most diseases are called acute, they will go away whether you take anything or not. This statement will go against everything you have been taught, but germs don't cause disease, unless they are injected in you and when that happens it isn't the dead germs causing your illness, it is all the poison in the poisoned needle.  If germs caused disease, we would all have been dead a long time ago. The same people that convinced you that vaccines prevented disease are the same people who have convinced the world that germs and viruses cause disease and have of course sold you not only on the germ theory but sold you on the remedy's which put billions in their pockets. Guest guest
One of my sons had a condition called PANDAS from strep, where his brain was affected and his behavior was uncontrollable. (I didn't know of this condition until years later). The penicillin stopped it within a day. At the same time, I had strep and was practically choking from the swallowing glass type pain. I don't like antibiotics, but I do think they work on some things. BUT I trust you, Jim, so am listening. Maybe if it happens again, I'll try to tough it out. Guest guest
Honey. Ideally Manuka, or organic local, but any will do. Vit C, echinacea, zinc etc... boost your immune system and let your body heal itself, it knows how. Guest guest
Hi Winnie I wished I could talk to you in person so you would know my intent is not to criticize anyone who takes drugs. But I must give the thoughts I have learned about the purpose of drugs and the negative changes they cause in the body which most believe are beneficial. I have no special schooling on drugs since there are no drug less schools in existence anymore. So as you know I quote from someone who has usually been involved with health issues their whole life. So here is a quote from one of my favorites,  Bragg in his 1929  book called cure yourself. " The danger in taking drugs, serums and nostrums lies in two things: First, the paralyzing of the natural effort of the body to rid itself of any annoying obstructions; and second, increasing the load of harmful matter in the body by the addition of so-called " medicine " ( or poison ), which must also be eliminated if the patient is to remain in health. Remember, if you have the impulse to take a drug, that you are only adding to the disease of your body; that your relief ( if at all ) will be only temporary, and the price for this temporary relief will be more than you probably care to pay, in future suffering. " The only thing I really know is that there is zero chance of getting a poisonous effect from the drugs if I don't take any. I know since starting with my generation the drug salesman has been hard at work convincing people to take his drugs and that people do FEEL better when they take drugs. I just don't think the benefit is worth the risk. Besides this is a forum where we all have different opinions on some issues. And that is good for the newbies to hear both sides and then do their own research. It was nice of you to say you trust me and I would never deliberately lead anyone astray, but it is trust that got us into this mess with the Allopaths. When I mention someone like Dr. Tilden or Dr. Shelton, I just hope those interested will read their works and get the whole philosophy. Have a Merry Christmas and a Jim Dandy new year. I understand what you say about medicine(drugs) and i am very much against over-medicating like many do now a day. A pill for every ill is such a bad idea. But what would you say about serious conditions like bacterial pnemonia, meningitis, kinds of bacterial skin infection that is spreading, etc.? Here is my personal experience. When my son was almost 2 years old, over summer, he got this skin infection right under one of his buttocks which really spread and got worse every day despite all my efforts. I put peroxide on it, tea tree oil, goldenseal root powder but after a week i finally gave in and went to pediatrician. She was horrified and told me why i did not bring him in earlier. She said it was bacterial impetigo and gave him antibiotic cream and told me my herbs/shmerbs wouldn't work. As soon as i put it on him before bed, it was healing well by the morning and was gone after about 3 days. So i know for sure that the cream worked; it killed the bacteria in his wound that was previously spreading further down his leg and looked horrible. Guest guest
Katarina, I had bacterial impetigo twice as a kid. My best friend also had it twice... we had it together. LOL Neither of us was ever treated with antibiotics and we both got well on our own after about three weeks. Guest guest
My brother in law just had open heart last week. Then they put a pace maker in. I know they put him on drugs, because the white blood cells will go after anything foreign. He can hardly move without discomfort. He told me how wonderful it is that they can cut the breastbone, take out the heart, insert a pig or cow valve, I forget which, and keep him alive. As many of you know relatives are generally not on the same page with you on enstein medicine. Now while he rants and raves about this barbaric procedure, let me give you the side you never hear. This man who used to weigh 150 pounds now weighs about 350 pounds. Guess what his big plan is for everyday living. You guessed it, where is he and my sister going to eat. He not only eats the sad diet exclusively, he eats enough for two or three. This is the kind of person who has taken years to build his health into a state of disease. Now the drugs he takes and the sad diet will take its toll not only in the quality of his life, but in the quantity of years. My guess for the pace makers would be extra income plus return visits to the drug pushers camp. Also you would remember that the only place you saw the really fat person was in the sideshow at the circus. Jim ________________________________ From: " wharrison@... Guest guest
In December of 1964 I was at a Christmas party and got drunker than a skunk.. I was involved in a bad auto accident. Fortunately I was the only one hurt. I was 23 years old, knew nothing about what I know now about health, drugs or doctors. It is probable they gave me something while I was in the hospital. I also had a hernia operation when I was 24 or 25. I know they stuck a needle in my back to numb me for the operation, but don't know about any other drugs. I don't remember taking any afterward. My wife says I refused to take any drugs because I said the pain wasn't that bad. But this was all before my daughters problem. I was a believer then anyway. So to be safe I have never taken any antibiotics since then. So that's 4o + years. Just a guess, maybe some of the stuff you put on the child made it worse. However the real question is what caused the infection in the first place? If it was bacteria, then the question is why don't all kids get this infection? If I am reading this right the infection lasted about 10 to 14 days. So lets play the Allopathic guessing game. You treated it with your products. Nothing happened or it got worse. Then you put the cream on it and it started to heal that or the next day. The Allopaths conclusion. I put on the cream and the sore healed: therefore the cream cured the problem. Now for the hygienic conclusion: it takes time for any sore or illness to heal. So the body was hard at work healing the infection and did so. It was just a coincidence that it healed because of the cream. If no cream had been applied it would have healed anyway. For those of you who haven't thought of this before, this is how the Allopath has grown in power. These kind of statements are believed because of the TRUST we gave the doctors instead of asking the hard questions. In other words neither the Allopath or the Hygienist can prove their conclusion. Just a note about the word medicine. According to a book I have called " The History of Medicine. " It states a medicine is something that is used to make the body better. And a drug is something used to treat. So real medicine would be food, exercise, fresh air if you can find any, sunshine and any other positive entities that the body can use to build it self. Ever notice a drug store doesn't have a sign up that says medicine store.  But when you pick up your prescription they say here is your medicine. Your question about drugs and other diseases is hard for me to answer in just a few short paragraphs. You would need to read something by Bragg, Dr. Herbert Shelton, Dr. R.T.Trall or one of the many drugless doctors or people who have devoted their life to Health. Not the disease treating doctors(Allopaths) who falsely call them selves health doctors and control the disease care system. As for me, because of the above mentioned people just to name a few, I have no fear of catching anything. In the few times I have been sick enough to stay in bed, that's what I do . In bed. No food. Rest. And let Mom Nature clean house. Because of what I have learned I have no fear, and fear is what the enstein undertakers group thrive on. Lets take one of those diseases: Meningitis. It simply means inflammation of the covering of the spine or brain. If one really had this condition, is it serious. I think so. But the question is what caused that inflammation? If it was bacteria why doesn't everybody get it? If you say because some people have a strong immune system, then you are really saying that it wasn't the bacteria that caused the inflammation but a weak immune system. Sooo what caused the immune system to be weak? Soooo when you hear on TV that some collage kid died of meningitis how much of the circumstances of the kid do they tell you about. None. We don't know if the kid is on drugs, street or doctors. We aren't told if their is a history of illness with the kid. We have no clue if the kids lives on garbage food, drinks every night and just got a meningitis or some other shot. They just say germ attacked kid , kid developed meningitis and died in spite of all the LIFE SAVING DRUGS that were given. When you told your Allopath that you gave your child herbs, hoping she would support you, that would be like going into a restaurant and asking the waiter if he recommended fasting. For those of you who don't vaccinate your children and are surprised when the doc gets upset, I don't think you have really thought the whole thing out. So I hope this gives you some idea where I stand on this subject. My bottom line is someone needs to go to jail. Guest guest
The only thing is, Jim--and I agree that the body can heal itself--that herbs and homeopathy actually do assist the body in doing so. Two examples: my little guy has had several episodes where his breathing gets affected, it worsens, then fever, wheezing and pneumonia. He just doesn't get better. I know the pattern. He can't swallow pills so I have to mix the quercetin I give him in mashed fruit, which naturally he refuses because he's sick. So, he ends up on antibiotics, which I hate because it sets him up for it to happen again. A few weeks ago, he started up again BUT this time under threat of missing Thanksgiving he ate the fruit/med mix, along with breathing in lots of steam. He was better within hours. It was not because time went by. What I gave him made the difference. Example two: my husband cut his finger this AM on the snowblower, and fiddled around trying to get it to stop for 10 minutes or so. It wasn't severe, so I stayed out of it but finally said would you take some arnica already? He agreed. Within a minute it stopped. He actually just walked in now and said, really thanks, that arnica did the trick--as if he had never seen this happen with the kids before! Guest guest
When given drugs I do not deny that there is an effect. But the effect is caused by the body not the drug. My belief comes from people like Dr. Shelton. So let me quote a few paragraphs from one of his books. The Science and fine art of natural hygiene. This is from the chapter " the laws of life " . Maybe this will help you to understand why I believe the Hygiene philosophy and reject Allopathic. This kind of thinking just makes more sense to me. " The Law of Action: " When ever action occurs in the living organism, as the result of extraneous influences, the action must be ascribed to the living thing, which has the power of action and not to the dead, whose leading characteristic is inertia. "   " There is a vast difference between living and dead protoplasm. Chemically, they may be the same, physically they may present identical appearances, but they answer to different tests. The living protoplasm or the living organism possesses, the power of action, dead protoplasm, in common with all other lifeless matter does not. Lifeless matter may be moved, but it cannot move itself. Living matter can move itself and other matter as well. The action of living organisms under various conditions and when subjected to various stimuli does not represent the action of these conditions or stimuli upon the living organism, but, rather, the action of the living thing in relation to the conditions or stimuli. The action is from within, the power to act is inherent. When the power of action is lacking, as in dead protoplasm, there is no action in relation to changed conditions or to the application of various stimuli. In the relations between lifeless and living matter, the living matter is active, the lifeless matter passive. If the power is low the action is correspondingly feeble. The work of " vital force " is " directly proportioned to the amount of the force. "  ( Or how strong or weak is the immune system. Jim ) "  The taking of a dose of Epsom salts is soon followed by a movement of the bowels. Dr. Trall's question, " which acted and which was acted upon, " is a very pertinent one. The only action of which any drug is capable is chemical action and no one will maintain that the bowel action in this case is chemical. No one will dispute that it is bowel action. From first to last the living organism is the actor, the salts are acted upon. " "  Medical men speak of drugs which act on the bowels (produce diarrhea), drugs which act on the kidneys ( occasion urination), etc. Reasoning, as they always do from the wrong end of the matter they attribute the power of action and of selective action to the lifeless drug, instead of to the living body. Trall combated this fallacy as follows, and incidentally demonstrated the essential nature of " disease. "  " A knowledge of the law of vitality would teach medical men that only living structures have inherent powers to act; that all dead things, in relation to living, are entirely passive, and that the only property they possess is inertia, which is the tendency to remain quiescent until disturbed by something else-the power to do nothing. "  " The living system acts on food to appropriate it to the formation and replenishment of its organs and tissues. This is digestion and assimilation-the nutritive process. And the living system acts on drugs, medicines, poisons, impurities, effete matters, miasms, contagions, infections-on everything not useful or usable in the organic domain-to resist them; to expel them; to get rid of them; purify itself of their presence through the channel or outlet best adapted to the purpose under the circumstances. "  " Drugs are said to act upon the body despite the fact that they are as inert as a dry stick or a clod of earth. Confessing that they do not know the modus operandi of a single drug, medical men are incessantly using thousands of them as though the actions of all of them are well known. The Hygienic school denies that drugs have any of the actions-physiologic, therapeutic, toxicologic, cumulative, synergistic, side, etc.-that are attributed to them. We maintain that they are entirely passive in their relations to the living organism. We insist that they are as inert when taken into the body as they are while still in the bottle on the shelves of the drug store and have shown that all of the actions attributed to drugs are actions of the body in resisting and expelling the drugs. "   " When drugs are taken there is action. This means that something acts. If it is not the inert drug that acts, there is nothing left to act except the living acting structure of the organized body. The Hygienic position is that, the resident forces in the various tissues, acting preservatively, give rise to all the phenomena that are mistaken for the actions of drugs.  " Let a perfectly healthy man eat a potato and give another perfectly healthy man a dose of Epsom salts and the actions and results that follow are not results of differences in the actions of the potato and the Epsom salts, but of the differences in the manner in which the body acts upon the two substances. Neither of these substances act upon the stomach. The stomach perceives the relation of the potato to the organism; the " vital instincts " recognize it as a food, and the body acts to digest and assimilate it. The vital sensibilities perceive or recognize the salts to hold a very different relation to the body and the body acts to expel them, to cast them out. This perception of relations is vital not chemical. "   " There is a vast difference between acting and being acted upon; between riding a horse and being ridden by a horse; between striking a door and being struck by a door; between throwing a ball and being thrown by a ball; between eating an apple and being eaten by an apple, between salts acting on the bowels and the bowels acting on the salts. "   " No amount of salts can " move " the bowels of a dead man. The giving of salts to the dead produces no effect. Yet if salts were the cause of the movement we should get a movement. Bowels do not move, whatever the occasion or condition, where life is lacking. Dead bowels cannot be made to act. The more vigorous a person is, the more vitality he possesses, the more vigorous will be the action on the part of the bowels, in expelling the salts, while, if the person is very low, the action may be hardly perceptible. In the relations between the living organism and lifeless matter the living organism is active, the lifeless matter is passive. The action of the living is in proportion to the need for action and to the amount of power of action that is present. When the seductive radio voice tells you that bufferin acts twice as fast as aspirin, yet is gentle in its action, it misleads you. Neither bufferin nor aspirin have any action and the actions of the body in expelling a poison are proportioned to its incompatibility with the interests of life. "   " Every organ of the body has its particular and specific function to perform, and with an adequate supply of power, will do its work promptly and well. "   " Toleration to poisons is merely a slow method of dying. "   " With a knowledge of the foregoing laws no one need be misled by the claims for the therapeutic virtues contained in some drug, serum, or apparatus. These laws form reliable rules by which to order our life. The wise will understand. " So you see Winnie why I have rejected conventional Medical thinking. None of this was ever taught in schools, so we didn't know these people even existed, and when I found out about them I was told they were quacks. So I had a decision to make. I had to find out who was wrong. Obviously I choose Hygiene. 99.9 per cent of the people don't even know there is a choice. And we knew who is keeping it a secret and launching an attack on people like Shelton. All you have to do is follow the money trail. In view of my adopting hygienic philosophy I still maintain that the arnica was just a coincidence. LOL Jim  ________________________________ From: " wharrison@... " <wharrison@...> Vaccinations Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2008 10:06:28 AM Subject: Re: Re: strep throat The only thing is, Jim--and I agree that the body can heal itself--that herbs and homeopathy actually do assist the body in doing so. Guest guest
Jim, The healing after using Arnica is no more a coincidence than a baby dying of SIDS after a vaccine, to use an example that we know well. One knows what they see, and I have witnessed it many times with homeopathic and herbal meds. I think you misunderstand these and look at them as " drugs. " In fact, they stimulate the body to heal itself--which is pretty much in line with your way of thinking, actually. There is no way some conditions that I've used these meds on would have healed (not had symptoms go away) as quickly on their own. Brief examples: 1) My dog had cancer in her nose, many incontrollable nosebleeds, sneezing out gobs of blood clots (sorry), rushing to vet's for blood pressure meds and overnight visit. Repeated times. Almost put her to sleep. Enter homeopathic vet who prescribed homeopathic Phosphorus. Every attack afterwards was stopped within a minute or two of giving the Phos., with dog jumping arounnd, playing frisbee afterwards. This was not a coincidence--any of those times. Dog died 1 1/2 years later after rabies shot set her back permanently. 2) Last summer, a boy tried to catch a ball in the outfield, blinded by sun, smacked in eye, blood everywhere, immediate huge swelling and discoloration. I gave parents Arnica to take home and they never even went to the ER because it was almost gone soon after getting home. Not a coincidence. They were flabbergasted and thanked me profusely. 3) My son was stung by a bee, ear blew up double in size, gave homeopathic Apis. Reduced it immediately. Not a coincidence. 4) Other son severely allergic to poison ivy, on steroids a couple of times. Don't like them so began to give homeopathic Rhus Tox, immediate relief of itching, never progressed to swelling. Works every time. Not a coincidence. 5) Twice had kids w/broken arms, gave Arnica, at hospital with no pain, no swelling or discoloration, one actually asleep. Not a coincidence. Doctors amazed: " what's the name of that stuff? " 6) Herbal example: son with asthma, only antibiotics would stop it (of course it recurred, and frequently), pale and weak afterwards. Enter naturopath and herbal tincture. After two doses, asthma stopped, rosy cheeks and energetic. Episodes became infrequent, then stopped. Not a coincidence. When you end up healthier, and the episodes don't repeat, I consider that healing. It's not suppressive, not " drugs " nor allopathic in any way. And it's not a coincidence. These meds are like fuel for the immune system. I'm glad for you that you haven't needed it, though. I'm very impressed by your level of health and your perspective. Me? I don't leave home without my Arnica. Not with four boys! Guest guest
Winnie, I 100% agree in respect to the arnica, that stuff is out of this world amazing. between the tabs & the gel, my son would have been in traction by now if it wasn't for that stuff LOL. The most memorable experience, was when my then 3yo & dh were standing on the other side of the truck working on it, the tailgate was down. As I walked down the sidewalk toward them, I saw it happen in slow motion. My son turned & ran, about 2 feet away from the tailgate, smashed into the tailgate so hard, his head banged, his feet flung out in front of him & he landed on the driveway w/ the back of his head first. I still remember the sickening sound of his head hitting the cement. UGH! Insert PANIC!!!!!!!! lmao. I dropped the phone & ran toward him as soon as I saw what was going to happen, grabbed him up, had him in the house on my lap in seconds. The bridge of his nose was at least double the size ALREADY! (thinking he broke it), & his eyes were already dark blue & swollen. As I assessed him, he settled down, I couldn't get an icepack on at all b/c he was screaming & fighting b/c it hurt so bad. No blood out the nose, so I told dh to give me the arnica gel (all I had at the time), I slabbed it on his nose, up to where it met his forehead, avoiding his eyes of course. Within 2min he let us put the icepack on, but only for 2 or 3 seconds. Within 10min he wanted to get back up & go outside. I of course knew that was going to leave a bruise from hell right? Another 10min goes by, the blue under his eyes disappeared, his nose wasn't swollen at all, tho he still had the white line where the tailgate dented him. The end result? He had a teardrop sized dark spot under one eye for a whole day. Anyone could assume he just didn't hit it that hard, but I know my son & this wasn't the first time he hit hard & he previously ALWAYS bruised. He bruised so bad & easily that if he'd been playing rough for a day or so, I wouldn't take him out in public for fear we'd get called on for all his bruises! He plays hard, hits hard & bruises bad. & that was all the damage done. We're all still amazed by that to this day! I sure as heck would use the arnica anyday over the repurcussions of not! lol My lesson learned there. ~Marcia~ > > Jim, > > The healing after using Arnica is no more a coincidence than a baby dying of SIDS after a vaccine, to use an example that we know well. Guest guest
Well, they have to be called something but that hardly equates them with chemical drugs. I never said antibiotics stimulate the immune system, in fact have said many times they harm it. I strongly believe they are at the root of my youngest son's respiratory/hives problems (which are pretty much resolved now), and also sent my oldest son downhill after his vaccine reaction. I'm talking about herbal and homeopathic meds, and vitamins--not antibiotics. I don't think these pills have magic power, but power nonetheless. I have seen it proven way more times than the examples listed, as have many, many others. Jim, don't discount something you haven't seen for yourself. Of course, you're doing very well without them and that's great, too. If more people had your lifestyle, we'd certainly be a much healthier society.
