Guest guest
Hi Cassandra, , I believe, recommends the Celtic Sea Salt from www.celticseasalt.com. Dr. Brownstein has had this brand tested several times for purity. Glo cassandra57002000 <ron.huffman@...> wrote: Hi,I'm wanting to order the Celtic sea salt. Guest guest
Yep that's the one. He says that the others are OK but doesn't know about purity. There is another one that we recently discussed that someone posted the link for too but you would have to order it online and I saw that shipping was a bit pricy. Since I can get it at my HF store for $6 / lb I will stick with Celtic. I love the taste too. I use it as an adrenal boost mid afternoon if I am out I just pop it on my tongue and suck on it. Works great. Steph Re: Celtic Sea Salt Hi Cassandra, , I believe, recommends the Celtic Sea Salt from www.celticseasalt.com. Dr. Brownstein has had this brand tested several times for purity. Guest guest
Celtic seems to be the preferred brand. My Dr has had it tested 3 times for purity and it has come back clean. Some do use other brands. I only have used Celtic. Steph Celtic Sea Salt > Hi, > I'm wanting to order the Celtic sea salt. Guest guest
Thanks. I assume it is unrefined since it only says washed and sun-dried. It's a product of Pakistan. I guess I can try it and stop taking it if I get sores and pimples. Mahin As long as it is unrefined. The only two I have specific info on contents is the Redmonds and Celtic because Dr. Brownstein wrote on them in his Salt book. Re: Re:Celtic Sea Salt , and/or others.... Help! Guest guest
Virginia, This is very helpful. I am and have been taking Celtic sea salt for about a year. It works very well for me and I have a lot left yet. My daughter brought me a package of the pink Himalayan salt and I was wondering if I can use it when I run out of Celtic. But I'm going to just use it for cooking and continue with my favorite Celtic sea salt. Thank you for posting this. Mahin I don't know if anyone will be able to access this file, as it is found in the membership area of the Celtic Seasalt website (www.celticseasalt.com), but here is a chart showing the percentage of trace minerals and sea water in certain sea salts: http://www.celticseasalt.com/PDF/FNL06e.pdf (this is a download of their newsletter, A Grain of Salt, Autumn 2006 issue; the chart can be found on page 19). Here are a few of the listings: Real Salt 1.68% Hain 3.07% McCormick 3.53% Himalayan 4.12% Celtic 13.36% (The analysis was made by an independent laboratory and from disclosures by sea salt companies.) So unless there's a disproportionate amount of water in Celtic Sea Salt than in the others, my recommendation is to stick to that one if you can, though if others are having "good" detoxing symptoms with Himalayan, then they can let you know that it works well. Guest guest
I have never heard of this so I don't know. Steph celtic sea salt I started taking the salt about 2 1/2 weeks ago, first in water then switched to filling 2 00 capsules. Yesterday I started getting a salty taste in my mouth. Is my body getting too much salt or is this part of detoxing. Barbara
Guest guest
I get this salt taste in the mouth too. I am detoxing large amounts of bromide but I have no idea if it is connected or not. I am also taking the salt in OO caps so perhaps it could be not enough water at the time of the salt?? On the other side of the coin I have always had a huge sweet tooth to fight so it is possible that the salty taste is what is "normal" and that I have been so far away from normal for so many years that I am more aware of the salty taste and I will just become accustomed to it over time. I know I am not taking enough salt for it to be too much so I am not concerned about that. Engtovo celtic sea salt Posted by: "barbarayorks@..." barbarayorks@... barbarayorks@... Guest guest
The iodine protocol uses ½ tsp salt per day as part of the protocol. You only salt LOAD if you have detox effects. Guest guest
Should I stop the iodine until I can get more salt?   I do have some sort of " sea salt " but it's very white and says nothing about being unrefined. On Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 11:10 AM, Donna Iler <Donna@...> wrote:  The iodine protocol uses ½ tsp salt per day as part of the protocol. Guest guest
If you don’t routinely have detox symptoms, I wouldn’t stop the iodine. The help you get from the iodine is still there. I recently had days when I didn’t/ couldn’t get unrefined salt and still took the iodine, and was fine. I just wouldn’t do it long term. Guest guest
, that's not true. The iodine protocol requires 1/2 tsp per day of unrefined salt as part of the companion nutrients, ***PLUS*** liberal use on food. Salt loading is a separate thing that is temporarily used for detox. , if you weren't taking the proper amounts of unrefined salt with iodine, it's no wonder you weren't happy with the results. , to address your questions, you might want to back off to 25mg or go to zero for the time being. It's kind of up to you. If you do stop, I'm sure you could jump back in at 50mg and move quickly back up to 75mg. We know for sure the body works better when it has the 1/2 tsp (minimum) unrefined salt every day. It might be a good time for an iodine holiday. To me it would be somewhat dependent on your health issues. If you aren't in a health emergency like cancer, it would be easier on your body to not do the iodine without the salt. But if a person were in such an emergency, they might not want to allow any tissues to be free of iodine for any period of time, even at the risk of some other kinds of physical discomfort. Anyway these are my thoughts, maybe someone else has better ones. hope this helps, -- At 05:57 PM 11/18/2010, you wrote: >Salt is just used to ease detox effects.if you don't have detox effects >you don't need the salt only to salt your food with. > > from Illinois > > > >From: Cochrane <juliemc9@...> >iodine >Sent: Thu, November 18, 2010 3:31:10 PM >Subject: Celtic Sea Salt > > > >I'm about to run out of celtic sea salt.
