Hi --

I traveled in January with the coconut oil and supplements in my checked

luggage, and it was no problem. I don't know about the x-ray equipment they use

to check bags...anyone know if that is irradiating the food?

Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can put coconut oil in checked baggage on an airplane? I

know I can't carry it on the plane.

I realize it is technically a food item, but some people also use it for

skincare.

Has anyone tried this successfully?

Thanks!

Thanks Marti!

One more question -- did you take the original jar or put it in a different

container? I am using Nutiva and I would like to just take the 15 oz container

(not yet opened).

I was going to stop taking VCO during my trip, but I tried stopping it yesterday

and I felt terrible!

Yes, you can check this in your luggage.

I always make sure things are clearly labeled, but haven't had any issues

otherwise.

Be well,

Jen B.

+++Hi ,

I don't know if I am right or not, but I put all supplements, including coconut

oil and cod liver oil in my " checked-in baggage, " and I wrap them in aluminum

foil, and also put them in a small bag lined with aluminum foil.

I put other supplements in a divided container, with enough for my trip, and

wrap it separately too.

+++Hi Marti,

X-rays emit radiation so I don't see how they would NOT damage foods.

This is how I protect my supplements, but I don't know if I am right or not. I

lined with aluminum foil.
