Bee,

I have a silly quesiton. Why is cheese not allowed on the diet? I couldn't

seem to find a reason, only the prohibition, while searching on the site. Can

it be added back in as my kids are healed or is there something inherently bad

with cheese?

Thanks so much,

Amy

+++Hi Amy,

Cheese is a dairy product so it is covered in the section about not having any

dairy products other than butter:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php#s17

It can be added back in, IF you buy cheese that is high in butterfat since

butterfat in dairy products help our bodies digest the lactose (sugar) and

proteins (like casein) in dairy products.

Aso avoid cheese that is dyed, and contains calcium chloride and other

additives. Rennet in cheese is okay.

Hi Janet,

You would have to read the label. Each cheese is different. Look for ones that

are 30% or more in fat.

Of course, cheese is not recommended for those of us with candida.
