Guest guest
Hi Bee, Since bacteria does not make us sick, is it ok to eat expired meat? I bought some ground beef from the butcher and it said to eat within 2 days. This morning I took it out and it had turned a greyish colour on the outside and didn't smell very good (this is about day 4 since i bought it). It didn't smell HORRIBLE, but clearly it was old. I don't want to waste it, so I've thrown it in a crock pot...but I wont put any veggies in until I know it's ok to eat. Thanks a lot, Natalia

If you are unsure, throw it out. In future freeze the meat and only thaw it out when you are going to use it that same day. Bee
