Guest guest
This is my first post! I got a whole house water softener from a Freecycler and would like to know if anyone is familiar with the Hydro-Quad made by United Standard. It costs over $5,000 new and I can't find any specific information on it! The most I could find was on this website: http://www.wrintl.com/hydro.asp. It came with a reverse-osmosis water filter, which I won't use since it would take out the water's minerals. We currently have a Multipure water filter for drinking water and shower filters and would like to have drinking water from every faucet and chlorine-free water for laundry and dishes. What I can't figure out is... will the conditioned " Hydro-Quad " water still need to be filtered for drinking and what effect will the added sodium have on our health. Thanks for any input! This is because it contains high levels of sodium which will imbalance the minerals in your body which can lead to eventual health complications. Furthermore, unfortunately since the water is preconditioned by the " Hydro-Quad " system, I see no way you can correct the water to make it usable. Sorry.
