Dear Bee and All,

I bought a piece of Lamb from the back from my local butchers and as I was

preparing it I found a lesion. This is in the fat, not the meat. The substance

is jelly like, translucent brown, like a light jus and about 2 cm long. Does any

member know what it may be? Searching the internet only yields information about

worms or parasites. I know that the meat was fresh as I use the butcher weekly

and he told me to come in on Thursday as he would have a delivery of the meat I

required. The rest of the meat was fine. My cookery books do not explain what

this is. I have a photograph of it but cannot post it here. Thanks for any

input,
