Guest guest
Even with high hopes for how well this would work, I was still a little sceptical. No more. It's pretty amazing what you can rid your body of without a scalpel. Nothing short of astounding. It will be 5 weeks until I'm home again and can do the next cleanse. Does anyone have any experience to share or suggestions on how many flushes are needed until I can eat salad again, if ever? I suppose that varies a lot from person to person. (Lettuce is what landed me in the ER with GB attacks in the first place - only reason I learned I had a problem.) When the surgeon in the ER explained what my 5 options were, he mentioned " having the stones broken up and then trying to pass them. " He spoke of it with horror, making faces, and said he couldn't imagine why anyone would ever do such a painful thing. (Maybe to avoid buying him his next Mercedes?) He certainly had me scared at the time, and I crossed that option off my list. Even though he wouldn't be the surgeon doing the op, he intentionally left me with only one choice - laparoscopic surgery ASAP. (It's a club, you know, they have to stick together to get all the Mercedes' paid for.) The epsom salts taste horrible. The oil isn't fun either. But it only lasts a few moments, and I had no pain whatsoever. Nothing more than some gurgling. The results appear to be, in my case anyway, possibly life saving. I'm so greatful for this list, and this chance. -valerie
Guest guest
Hi Valarie, Congratulations! Great news. You passed the first phase of gall bladder flushing. Get ready for the rest of it now. Enjoy feeling better for a while. Don't be surprised when you stop feeling so great. Stones that were previously blocked by the stones you flushed will drop into position to get flushed out next time. No matter how great you feel, don't revert to careless eating habits. Your body will have more energy to expend cleaning itself up, and that's what it will do. That will be enough of a cleansing burden, so be careful I've flushed 8 times and have flushed between 1500-2000 stones, and I had no symptoms. I flushed because I knew I could benefit now and in the future from cleaning my liver out. In between flushes, I've spent time learning about how to eat better. That's probably helped me more long therm than the flushes, but the flushes helped my quicker and more dramatically. Good job not letting the Drs. think for you. Guest guest
Hi , I've been so busy I haven't been keeping up with the list, and just skimmed down through the subjects and yours caught my eye as it's always good to read about a successful cleanse. Did you have trouble eating plain lettuce, or did you put salad dressing that contained oil on it and eat it, in other words, could it have been the oil in the salad dressing that caused you to have an attack? I eat salad daily, and am not on a completely fat free or oil free diet, just don't take excessive amounts. I don't have the healthiest of gallbladders, but I figure it keeps it working a bit, better than not stimulating it at all. It will be time for me to flush again...and personally, I have it on the calendar to do every 6 months, and if I need to, in between. It's just a part of my life now. Congrats on your success! L. Guest guest
Karin - I can't answer the ultrasound question, I'd like to know that myself. I can say that I was diagnosed in the ER because of the attacks, so I was worried about an attack when I drank the oil. I just did my first flush yesterday - Sunday, and had no pain, just gurgling and a curious sensation of marbles rolling around inside me. As I understand it, the function of the epsom salts is to relax and open the ducts so that when the oil goes through there's no discomfort. That was exactly true in my case. I passed stones that were, to me, aMAZing, and identical to stones removed surgically. I followed 's instructions pretty closely, and now I'm a believer. - Lettuce is the culprit (or perhaps the chemicals they spray on it) - I don't care for salad dressing and rarely use any at all. The doctor who diagnosed me, and other people who had GB attacks, have told me that lettuce & other green leafy stuff is tough to digest and causes a larger release of bile, and so can bring on attacks. Greasy pizza brought on my first attack, but 2 days later a salad for breakfast sent me flying to the ladies room (but I didn't make the connection at the time), and that night a large salad for dinner gave me the attack that sent me to the ER. I can eat other veggies, especially cooked, and the only other reaction to a vegetable I had was too much celery for breakfast once. I've been sneaking very small amounts of lettuce back on to sandwiches, but I really miss salad, so I'm hoping this isn't a permanant thing. You're right - flushing is just a part of my life now, too. Sure beats the alternative. -valerie ----- Original Message ----- From: L.
