Guest guest
I figured out why on the protein/fat diet.. the diet needs to be mostly fat to prevent constipation. I figured this out after experimenting with bile salt supplements. After taking one capsule of the bile salts I had 3 loose bowel movements the next day. But why? I opened the bile salt capsule and it was the most bitter thing i have ever tasted. So the " extreme bitterness " /acid components stimulated more bile than I needed thus causing diarrhea. The reason why I say bile is that I could feel my liver working harder than usual and my colonic showed more bile than usual. This is why coffee enemas help people with liver congestion. The bitter qualities/components of the coffee stimulates bile production which helps with healing. When we eat fat it stimulates more bile production thus keeping our bowels moving faster. So when we eat too much protein were not getting enough bile production to keep the bowels moving fast enough. Bile is mainly produced to break down fats. Not to mention that some meats are higher in iron which can be " slightly " more constipating. Probably depends on the toughness of the meat as well. Red meat definitely makes me slightly more constipated than fish or chicken. Just my personal experience. HCL caps do not contain actual human HCL, but rather it is derived from beets(betaine HCL). So it is the " bitter " qualities from the HCL caps which helps with digestion. When I have a colonic done my best releases are when bile is released into the colon through the constant flow of water going in and out of the colon. So the bile(which I can visually see in the colonic tube) stimulates the colon to release more.
