Guest guest
Why You Shouldn't Use Tanning Beds When You Take Cod Liver Oil Cod Liver Oil contains Omega 3 essential fatty acid (EPA plus DHA), and vitamins A and D. You shouldn't use tanning beds when you are taking CLO, even if they are considered safe. That is because safe tanning beds only emit UVB rays, which are the rays that create vitamin D on the natural oils of your skin. However, they do not emit UVA rays, which are the rays that automatically lower vitamin D levels if they happen to get too high by a combination of the vitamin D in CLO and the amount of vitamin D created by the UVB rays. So that's why it is safe to go out in natural sunlight when you are taking CLO because the sun emits both UVB and UVA rays. I refuse to get into details of how long you " could " stop taking CLO before using a tanning bed, which means switching over to only taking fish oil (only contains omega 3) and a separate vitamin A, since that means calculating how much vitamin D a safe tanning bed produces, how long a person is in it, and whether your skin has enough natural oils for vitamin D to be created on it, etc. The question to ask yourself when considering using tanning beds of any kind, is: Why use any kind of artificial means, like tanning beds, to tan your skin, since getting a tan is more about looks than it is about health?
