Guest guest
Funny that you should ask about this, Brittany as I was coming here to ask a similar question... Bee... I took another member's advice here and took some of the coconut oil, rolled it into small balls and put it in the freezer so I could insert it vaginally. I was just looking for something soothing to ease the irritation while I'm at work. I put one in last night and then again this morning before work. Today is the first day that I have felt a serious swelling sensation down there. Could it be the coconut oil??? I have also been dry brushing before every shower. Could that cause my lymph nodes to swell up in that area if they are trying to help clean out stuff??? I have to be honest and say that I haven't stuck to the diet this last week. Fell off the wagon for a bit there. So I'm sure that might have something to do with it. But I have been keeping to the supplements. I also got some trace minerals today as I don't like a lot of salt. Did you say that those were okay to have??? Thanks Bee. Sara --------------------------------------------------------------- > Hi All, > I use the fiji organics unscented coconut oil soap and love it. However, when I put coconut oil on my face it turns very red and really burns. I use the Nutiva cold pressed co, so I don't think it's an issue of quality. My face is otherwie very clear and normal. Could it be possible that maybe too much coconut oil topically is detoxing my skin too much at once? Any thoughts on this? > Thanks in advance, > Brittany >

If you continue applying it the symptoms will subside. Bee

Yes, your swelling could be the coconut oil since it is helps healing and detoxification which means it could help your body create inflammation and swelling, which is a good thing. > > I have also been dry brushing before every shower. Could that cause my lymph nodes to swell up in that area if they are trying to help clean out stuff??? +++Yes, because it stimulates the lymphatic system to clear toxins out of your entire body. As your body gets more efficient at detoxifying itself you won't get swelled up lymph nodes. +++Oh oh. Well, it is important not to fall off the wagon and they may have contributed to your swelling. +++Trace minerals are not a substitute for good ocean sea salt, and I don't recommend taking any kind of processed trace minerals since they cannot possibly duplicate minerals in ocean sea salt or in Nature's water. +++Your body needs plenty of salt, which contains 2 of the most important minerals needed daily, which are sodium and chloride. In fact ocean sea salt mixed in water is exactly the same as your tears. +++Please read more about sea salt so you understand why it is so important: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu3_6_1.php All the best, Bee
