Fibroids and Bioflavanoids

Bee, I've been on the program for 4 years with about once-a-week cheating, so

I'm not perfect. When I started going into menopause about a year and a half

ago, I increased my bioflavanoids to help with hot flashes. After the hot

flashes subsided in about 3 months, I continued to take higher doses of bioflavs

to try to balance my hormones to reduce large fibroids. Daily, I take 2 capsules

of Natural Factors Citrus Bioflavanoids (650mg bioflavs) plus 3 Natural Factors

Vitamin C Complex (500mg C + 625mg bioflav). Is this too much? What harm might

this cause? I've been having lower back and hand pain and I wonder if it may be

from too many bioflavs or if it's just healing or retracing. I take everything

else in the amounts you suggest.

I haven't been to a gynecologist for some time. After 4 years, I can feel fewer

fibroids on my left side and a larger, harder mass on my right side. My

internist wants me to get an ultrasound, mammogram and colonoscopy. I'm not

worried about the last two, but the uterine hardness and mass are a little

worrisome. Should I go ahead with the ultrasound or not bother and trust that

the fibroids will disappear in time as long as I'm following the program? The

internist also said I have a polyp at the opening of the cervix that a

gynecologist could remove (I had one removed in the same spot about 6 years

ago). Everything else has gotten better, though I still have some thrush,

dandruff and the back pain. Not bad for being very sick when I started! I

haven't had a cold or bladder infection in well over a year! Plus, I sleep like

a rock now. Thank you!

C.
