Guest guest
Hi, ! I really, truly appreciate your words of encouragement....thank you for being so kind! Why do you say you wish you had been so brave? How old is Cora now, and what did you switch to at 13 months.....or did you completely wean and do nothing but water now? You are absolutely right when you say it takes longer for these babies - unfortunately I think, and as mentioned in another post, the one month for each year of life really doesn't quite fit with the little ones. My theory is simply that our children are even further down the line in the generations of nutritional deficiencies and toxic loads, etc, so further physical degeneration and longer healing times. I know my my mom's case of candida is quite advanced at her age, and mine at an earlier age has already become quite severe (hence my children's poor state of health and severe conditions), and so forth it goes - each consecutive generation will be poorer in health at an earlier age, until reproduction is probably no longer an option because of the state of health.....make sense? sorry to blab on about it - just the observations and theories my head debates as we make this journey.... At any rate, I'd really like to hear what your daughter's symptoms were/are, and what kinds of food you feed at home. We are really TRULY struggling and having a very difficult time keeping the faith with such lack of progress....a year of hard work only to watch them suffer more now is just wearing at us and we are worn soooo thin these days......any support/recommendations would be ever so welcome and appreciated!!!! Sorry this was so long - needing to regain the faith and find the strength to continue down this very lonesome and difficult path - it's one thing for an adult to do it for themselves, but attempting to heal severely ill children while dealing with detox/healing reactions ones self is just no walk in the park, perhaps you can relate?.....lol..... TAke care and thank you again for your kind words..... Guest guest
Hi Jenna, Cora turns 2 next week! We started her on Bee's diet at 13 months. She had full body eczema, terrible reflux, poor sleeping, slow to hit milestones, and some other worrisome spectrum behaviors. We did the goat's milk formula(at 13 months switched to Bee's egg drink) which was already a stretch for my mainstream SAD way of thinking, so the idea of the broth/liver formula terrified me. Looking back, it would have been best for her. What a great healing food you've given your baby- and probably a love of it too which is awesome. In October Cora developed a rash on her face- I know how it feels to be questioned constantly about how you're taking care of your child. It did look horrible, and I felt so bad. I finally pulled all the dairy (butter and ghee)a couple of weeks ago and it's gone away now along with some terrible two behavior that seemed to go with it. You might try to use more meat fats, and avoid the ghee. I didn't think that it could possible make that much difference, but it did. We cook a lot of our food in lard- I try not to overdo the coconut oil too! I feel like we should be farther along too... but whenever we're at a low point I say how grateful I am for the healing and wait... because after a good healing reaction she always makes great progress. Please don't be too hard on yourself. It sounds like you are really an amazing mom. We'll be thinking about you and wishing that eczema away... in VA ________________________________ From: jennacoleaaa <jennacoleaaa@...> Sent: Tue, February 22, 2011 10:47:54 PM Subject: [ ] Re: why brave? and thank you! Guest guest
Hi, ...so thankful for your kind replies....I do have a few questions still.... > Cora turns 2 next week! ***Happy early B-day, Cora and congrats to you, Mama!!! :-) > (at 13 months switched to Bee's egg drink) ***Since you removed the butter & ghee (we've been considering doing the very same thing) what are the exact amounts you use for Cora's egg drink? Does she drink it cool/warm? Does she drink it in a cup/sippy/bottle??? Anjali gets 2 scrambled eggs (I leave one yolk completely raw to drizzle on top of scrambled) every morning. I wonder if the extra egg drink would be beneficial vs....? We cook a lot of our food in lard- I try not to overdo the coconut oil too! ***Pork seems to give the kids major diarrhea and worsen their eczema, but I wonder if the lard would do the same? I have given them roasted pork fat back, and I can't remember exactly what the reaction was....we're always dealing with so much at once I often can't figure out what to attribute their reactions to....I need more control/discipline so that I can moderate their reactions and make them more comfortable, and me less worried, and ward off the 'concerned' looks/comments we've been receiving that have been draining me so.... ***Can you please write me off-line (or on to possibly help other mommies w/ similar challenges) regarding what you feed Cora??? I'm struggling w/ making this lifestyle easier and at the same time being able to regulate their diets so we have, as I mentioned, more control over their reactions (in as far as not allowing them to become too excessive and intolerable, you know?)..... Your help and time and concern, good thoughts, are all so appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts, !!! Be well and I look forward to hearing back from you when you can.... Xoxo, Jenna in Tampa
