Guest guest
Hi In the past I have followed the diet you advised (but perhaps less fat) but still got the following abnormalities 9 months into diet (lean meat, fish, eggs, low starchy veggies, fish oils, multi vit/min, supp Mg but not calcium) here is results: Results Low Lithium (blood) (Ref range 0.6-1.0) mine was <0.1 Saliva tests confirmed Testosterone (Referance range is 25-135) mine was 310 Progesterone (Ref range 142-979) mine wass 2,094 DHEA (Ref range 0.750-2.500) mine was 8.225 Cortisol raised at all times of day but noon. Low blood vitamin D, 25-OH 16L (range 32-100) Total cholesterol 143mg/dL (could it be higher?). Now I am wondering if it was all due to me not raising fats high enough. It was the only thing I have never done, go on much much more fat. Low carbing, staying of all grain, beans and eating veggies, leaner meats, fish, seafood was something I did and I felt well but still Bipolar disorder throughout. I also tried supplementing with 8-10g fish oils which I thought was working, but tests showed the above when I felt at my best. What do you advise in order to reverse the highs and how about the low vit D/Li? It would seem a high fat, medium protein, low carbohydrate helps, but to get so much fat, this means alot of animals fats. Why is raw cheese (no carbs in), fattiest cream not OK? I have been told it is the sugars(lactose) but my cream only has 1.4g of sugar per 100ml with 52g of fat. I never ate it because of fear of been hungry, because fat increased my hunger. But if fats are so good I am prepared to just get eating them for good (on them now for 5 days but might need them highering more because they make you go to small room. Are these fats OK and how much? i.e. ghee, grass fed beef fat, free range pork lard, butter from grass fed cows. I am thinking the fat will support all my adrenal function and stop the DHEA. Only read 3 days ago that the DHEA could be causing the bipolar (cause might be adrenal hyperfunction), so I thought I would mention all this to you and see what you think. Thanks for your previous post/mail. Your thoughts appreciated. Thanks again! Kind regards

First, your cannot rely on blood tests, which are taken from vein blood, for the levels of any nutrients or hormones - see Why You Shouldn't Rely on Blood Tests for Nutrient Levels – July 16, 2010, Message #93109. +++Also your hormones and nutrients levels are going to be higher in vein blood since your cell membranes are rigid/stiff because of toxins which means hormones being produced aren't as able to get into the cells where they are needed - see this article to understand: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cabout1.php +++Multivitamins are not recommended since it is impossible for them to cram into one pill all of the correct nutrients at the correct levels. +++It is extremely important that you take calcium along with magnesium, and that you take all of the supplements recommended since they work together with the diet, providing all of the nutrients your body needs to heal itself. > Now I am wondering if it was all due to me not raising fats high enough. That is because people completely on this program get predictable reactions and symptoms, while those that don't follow it correctly don't. > > It would seem a high fat, medium protein, low carbohydrate helps, but to get so much fat, this means alot of animals fats. Thanks for your previous post/mail. +++Of course you should always be lowering doses and finally going off any hormones too, because they interfere with getting healthy. There's plenty of help on this program for your adrenals. All the best, Bee
