I had acne for 5 years prior to starting the diet, but it was more like a supressed acne, cause I was taking birth control pills which made my skin clear. So there weren't pimples on my face with the pills. After 5 years I decided that I couldn't be talking the pills longterm so I stopped taking them, thinking maybe my acne was gone. But it was not. It came back with a vengeance and there were a couple of horrible months when I had many many pimples coming up everyday. I was desperate to find a natural remedy that works and after days, weeks maybe of websearching, I have found your site on a forum. > > On the first three months on the diet it was the worst, like other members have said. I couldn't look in a mirror, cause almost all my face was red and covered with disgusting acne. > After those months, I still had acne, but I was thinking that according to retracing, it would be just 5 months and then acne no more. > > It wasn't like that at all. Months were passing and everyday new pimples were appearing. I was reading your replies to other members on the board that every skin abnormality is just toxins coming out, so I did not want to ask questions when I already knew your answer. > > But still day after day, pimple after pimle, they just don't seem to stop. I haven't had on this diet not one day with clear skin. Several pimples appear on a day and take ages to disappear, by the time they are almost gone others appear and so on. And they don't heal without damage, I have tens of marks on my face. And a new pimple can stay on my face even a month without fading, or anything else, even if I apply coconut oil liberally throughout the day. > > I am so depressed and became an antisocial person, because really these days you barely see someone with pimples evereyday. They go to the derm, take pills or cream and acne no more. And I have acne everyday. It's a nightmare. People start asking why don't I use something, it's not normal. > > Bee, sorry for the long post, I still have so many things to say.. Please help me and make me understand why this is happening. I also have to add that I'm on my twenties so by now I should've been at the middle of my healing journey. Is it possible that I am so loaded with toxins that pimples have to come out everyday?? > > They already have done so much damage to my face. I tried to apply cod liver oil, vit E, tea tree oil, nothing makes them fade away or heal. Coconut oil doesn't help at all either. They just stay there on my face and make my life miserable!! +++Hi Ina, My heart goes out to you my friend since it is so important for our self-confidence and image for us to have clear skin. Sorry, but all I can say is what I've said to many others who have persistence skin issues. Your body seems to prefer that method of getting rid of toxins so there isn't much you can do about it until you get totally healthy. But also remember that getting rid of toxins through the skin is a much better way than other outlets, since it protects your vital inner organs from the toxins. When your body finishes detoxifying itself it will improve, however even after you are totally healthy you may get breakouts from time to time since your body always needs to detoxify itself, however they will be minor compared to now. Guest guest
Bee, it's one thing that pimples appear (everyday!) to get rid of toxins, but why after that it takes even a month for them to start fading? I am having a nutrient dense diet, all the supplements, no carbs, so my body should be able to handle pimples better. After 12 months I thought they should disappear more quickly. Like when we get a cold on the diet we have milder symptoms and we get quickly through the cold. Should I continue applying coconut oil even if it doesn't help? Again I'm referring to make them heal/disappear faster, cause I know they can't be stopped from appearing. Before this diet I was applying clay masks to dry them. They were unfortunately leaving scars. Do you think it's not a good idea to apply clay? Ina. > > My heart goes out to you my friend since it is so important for our self-confidence and image for us to have clear skin. > > Sorry, but all I can say is what I've said to many others who have persistence skin issues. Guest guest
Hi Ina, I find that cod liver oil is really good for pimples and for scars. The cod liver oil is a little bit astringent so it can help to dry up the pimple. I fell and hit my head last winter that required the wound to be glued closed. I applied cod liver oil to it daily and in the beginning it was quite red (a sign that healing blood was going to the area) but now the scar is barely visible. I think it will help with your acne scars, but it does take some time, so you have to be patient. In the meantime you know you are progressing towards health and not towards disease. Like wrote, applying cod liver oil may help. No it isn't good to use clay. Guest guest
I just want to second that I believe cod liver oil is better for acne. I had acne before starting the diet, now I just get breakouts. I find the coconut oil does draw too much out, and the cod liver helps heal scars a bit faster. I only put coconut oil on once in a while. Guest guest
Ina - I am just reading thru a blog on " water-only " shampooing. <http://www.suite101.com/content/water-only-hair-washing-a61447> One person said they had rash and pimples on their face which cleared up when they went " water-only " washing. Are you using any kind of hair care? > > Bee, it's one thing that pimples appear (everyday!) to get rid of toxins, but why after that it takes even a month for them to start fading? Guest guest
Hi , I'm using just this shampoo: http://www.iherb.com/Aubrey-Organics-Treatment-Shampoo-Calaguala-Fern-11-fl-oz-3\ 25-ml/7553?at=0 I can't use anything more natural, like castile soap for example, cause I have long hair and it will be a mess from something like that. But I wish I could use a more natural product Ina. > > > > Bee, it's one thing that pimples appear (everyday!) to get rid of toxins, but why after that it takes even a month for them to start fading? >
Guest guest
Hi Bee, Is it true that coconut oil draws out more toxins if applied on skin? This means that if I'm applying it for acne I'm doing just the opposite of my intention? Ina. > > > > +++Hi Ina, > > It takes as long as it takes my friend. Guest guest
Just from my personal experience when I applied coconut oil to my skin it broke me out only in that area. I wish it didn't so I could use it for a moisturizer. Goodluck! Hi Bee, Is it true that coconut oil draws out more toxins if applied on skin? This means that if I'm applying it for acne I'm doing just the opposite of my intention? Ina.

Mine is not REAL long but past my shoulders... Like with baking soda washing, you're only concerned about the roots and scalp. To your health! You can just allow the diet and supplements do their job, or assist detoxification processes by applying coconut oil and doing other things that help as listed in this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/detox.php Bee
Guest guest
Thanks for the interesting article, . The transition period of the water only hair washing scares me. I can't wash my roots and scalp only, because I flat iron my hair so I'm applying coconut oil on the hair length... Guest guest
Ina, My heart goes out to you too and I don't know if this will help you, but I recently searched on Bee's website for help with a cold sore and I found that lemon is good for the skin, for healing cold sores, AND for clearing acne. I was excited to try it because not only do I get get cold sores but I also suffer with detoxifying breakouts. I tried it and I could not believe the results! My cold sore was gone in less than half the time and the lemon shortened the life of my acne by half. My face felt smoother and fresher. Now, it sounds like your acne is a lot worse than mine, but I thought I would share in case it is something that would help you. I used full strength lemon and it did sting a little so if you have a lot of opened acne, I would suggest diluting it. Here is the link to the article for directions. > > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foods29.php Good Luck! - (Sorry if someone has already suggested this.
