Hi Jess,

Yes, I experienced that stoned feeling every afternoon for about 3 weeks or

so, when I started the diet. It was very strange! It went away, though.

Hi ,

Thank you for responding. I just started month 2 on Bee's diet. It's a

really strange feeling, for instance it didn't happen today but it did all

last week. I will be at work and all of a sudden feel super high and don't

want to do anything. Someone can be speaking to me about a serious matter

and I'm thinking to myself...yea whatever. It's the weirdest thing ever.

Thanks again,

Jess

Hi Jess,

I understand how you feel. In the afternoons I feel like I am

underwater-everything feels like it is in slow motion, but I think mine is just

because I feel dazed and tired. Not tired like I have to sleep, just very

drowsy--it's a complicated feeling. I would love to feel giddy though:)I haven't

had that yet! So far, being very tired is the only healing reaction I have

experienced, but when I was unhealthy that was my biggest and pretty much only

problem--a total lack of energy, especially after my son was born. Send some

giddy vibes my way!

Hi Brittany,

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, the giddy feeling ended on Friday.

Extremely tired, cold sensations, heavy legs and depression mode has kicked

in. I don't want to speak to anyone. This is so weird and scary.

Thanks again for sharing:)

Hi Jess,

I've been on the diet a year and a half now and can tell you you will have days

like this, but it's okay. I have had several and didn't realize it was a healing

reaction at first, both physically and mentally. I also noticed the bad

depression part never lasted more than a day for me. So, when I have a day like

that I tell myself... " I feel awful and depressed today, and that's okay because

I'm healing and tomorrow I'll be just fine. " It helps me get through the bad

day.

Thanks for the tip Heidi. I just feel so many different things and I get

freaked out. Not sure what is a healing reaction or not.

Hi Jess,

Sometimes I feel that feeling when I've been too busy, or too stressed and

haven't been getting enough oxygen, usually more towards the end of the day.

Sometimes make my speech slurry too. So I have to do deep breathing and the

feeling subsides.

Haven't necessarily had that feeling after eating though.

It's good to remember our breathing all the time, before and during eating,

driving, house work etc and especially at work where we can get stressed and

hold our breath without even noticing.

You're probably already on to all that anyway, but just thought I'd respond.

Blessings,

Hi Jess,

Just wanted to add to my below message,I believe candida lets off 'alcohol' into

our bodies. When I first discovered I had candida, I would feel drunk a lot of

the time (mostly in the evenings), without having drunk any alcohol.

Maybe Bee could confirm this, about the alcohol?

Maybe eating good foods could cause the candida to let off more 'alcohol',

causing your stoned feeling. (Bee,could that be the case?)

Not sure if its revelant or not, but drinking alcohol litterally causes me to be

in pain in my upper quadrant and through out my arms. Its the strangest feeling.

Almost feels like Ive been

litterally poisoned. Ive asked numerous of doctors about it, but every single

one I come across tells me that they have never heard of such a thing which is

frustrating because I know

that I can't possibly be the only person in the World with such a symptom. I

havent drank any in quite awhile now, but I know the feeling that you are

speaking of below, because I sometimes get that feeling somedays, but I have

always believed it was the Fibromyalgia being the cause.

My husband also suffers with the same symptoms, sometimes worse then me.

I'm starting to wonder if Im ever going to get well again, I feel like I have

tried every therapy out there. The best thing so far has been the blessing of

the coconut oil. It helps my synthetic

thyroid meds do a better job of running my metabolism. Since Ive been using the

coconut oil I have lost 13 pounds in weight, so thats a plus. But I still lack

energy. And I have a cough that just will not go away. Its annoying and

embarrassing.

Ok, I'll stop rambling now.

+++Hi Jess,

All reactions you are getting are healing reactions when you are on this

program. Read the section on Healing Reactions Versus Disease Reactions in this

article so you feel more secure that your health is improving:

+++Hi ,

I should have added that when there's more sugar/glucose in the diet candida

will be producing more alcohol, just like making beer or wine from yeast does.

Hi Bee and ,

Thank you. So, should I worry that even though I am eating good foods, I may be

feeding candida in my body? I use to smoke pot and drink. I was thinking maybe I

am detoxing that but can it happen so soon after I eat. Can reactions occur that

quickly? This week it hasn't been so bad with that same stoned feeling but

definitely super exhausted.

Thank you, Jess

+++Hi Jess,

If you are following the diet, which would you be eating that would feed

candida?

Your body also creates detox reactions itself when it processes or digests

foods. When your body becomes better at detoxifying itself those reactions will

decrease.

Also good foods on this program help the body detoxify so they create

detoxifying reactions.

You can expect to get all kinds of healing and detoxifying reactions, including

fatigue, as you progress on this program.

In fact all of the disease processes are exactly the same as the healing and

detoxifying processes created by the body itself in an effort to maintain its

health, in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc.

The only difference for people on this healthy program is they are now

progressing towards health rather than becoming more and more unhealthy, or

dis-eased, because they are giving their body what it needs to " be healthy "

according to Nature's Laws on Health.

The medical field labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate

dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, etc., however all of them are simply " signs " the

body is working hard to maintain its health, so all of those " signs " are

actually normal body reactions.

In other words, they are just " signs " that the body is successfully attempting

to restore its own balance.

As Florence Nightengale, the famous nurse, puts it: " There are no specific

diseases; there are [only] specific disease conditions. "

So go with the flow, since your body is reacting like it should so it can get

healthy.

All the best, Bee

Yes, I have experienced that dazed/drunk feeling.  I've noticed it occurs when

I have consumed too many carbs.  Last night I ate a plaintain, which I know I

shouldn't have, and I noticed those symptoms.

Yes, I am following the diet and only eating the veggies allowed plus

supplements. I will try not to worry so much but it's so hard when i feel

these weird things.

Thank you,

Hi ,

Thanks. I only eat the veggies on Bee's list and I use fit day to track my

carbs. I worry because sometimes my eyes will cross and I'm always burping.

Bee said it was normal to burp but I have been like this for months no

matter what I eat. No drunk giddy feeling today though.

Thanks again,

Jess

Hi . I had horrendous gas before I started Bee's diet - so bad it felt

as though my innards were trying to climb out through my throat! I honestly

thought I was dying a few times, with my blood pressure through the roof too,

but gradually it has started to improve. Back then, on several occasions I was

unable to sleep at all because I had to keep getting out of bed every 10 minutes

and jump up and down to try and release the gas that was trapped under my

twisted hiatic hernia. I had pretty bad gas on and off even on the diet up

until fairly recently - it would come and go.

I have been on the diet for 10 months. It took 9 of those for the damage in my

gut to start to resolve and my body to start absorbing the nutrition better (I

am diabetic and have severe gluten intolerance), but the last 6 weeks have been

awesome.

I did my first coffee enema on New Year's Eve - not sure why I hadn't done any

before, but since then I have had such clearing out of my hepatic system and

lymph, it has been amazing - virtually non-stop.

Now it is abating, the gas seems to have settled considerably too. Up until a

week or so ago it was still in evidence - so much so that it was kinking my

esophagus and making it feel as though I had a lump in my throat, but at the

moment it is better. It may come and go some as my body sorts itself out but

already it is heaps better than it was 10 months ago.

I have also had some acupuncture recently which I believe has helped too.

I am not sure if this will help, but for what it is worth, I know from

experience that you just have to persevere through it all before you can start

to come out the other side....

Regards, Ali.

PS. If you used to take drugs, the 'stoned' feelings you get are almost

certainly connected. Just out of interest, although I have been off gluten for

over three years, over this last 6 weeks as my liver, pancreas, spleen and lymph

has been clearing, I have had a few 'gluten' episodes - reactions that I only

get when I have had gluten - even though I know I haven't had any. That tells

me that some of the stuff that the clearing has pulled out was gluten proteins

that had to work through my system on their way out.

Your body will go back and deal with all the stuff you have thrown at it over

the years - and you will undoubtedly get reactions as a result.

Thanks so much ! Wow, 10 months..I must be extremely patient then. My

burping episodes started back in March/April so hopefully it won't take so

long. You seemed to be so in tuned with your body. How do you know that your

clearing out of your hepatic system and lymph? I'm sorry it it's a silly

question but honestly, I wouldn't know the difference. I just kind of threw

myself into this whole new thing.

Also, you say you are diabetic, may I ask, when you first started diet, did

only having 3 meals 4 -5 hrs (no snacks in between) apart affect your blood

sugar?

, just reading about your success with the diet makes me feel so much

better. I really love this forum!

Thanks again,

Jess

Hi Jess.

I had been having issues in my upper left quadrant for some time - the feeling

that everything was really swollen inside my chest cavity, especially in my back

and left side - at one point I thought I had parasites, because I could feel

lots of movements going on in my back. But that was just the workings of my

liver and pancreas and I could only feel it because it was squashed against my

ribs.

I have become much more in tune with my body anyway in recent times and now

recognize that the odd twinges and pains I get are just my body sorting itself

out.

Because it was all pressed against my ribs inside, when my body started all the

clearing, I could feel lots of tweaking, tugging, and pulling going on in my

liver et al - even right up into my neck and my left shoulder, which would

probably have been my lymph. It would do that in one place then lots of stuff

would rattle across my back and down through my hepatic tubes in my right side -

if you are aware when your gallbladder empties, you would kind of recognize that

feeling.

As that receded, I then was getting stuff working through - possibly from my

spleen - further down my back, around my waist level. That could be quite

painful, especially as it squeezed past my spine. Felt like I was momentarily

being kneed in the back!

Interestingly, as it has all started to abate now, I can't feel it so much and

suspect that may be because it is less swollen. It hasn't gone right down yet,

but is better than it was. Maybe most people wouldn't feel it like I have, but

it is good to try and understand your body better and become more aware of what

is happening.

As far as the diabetes is concerned, I have had no problem at all. Hypos and

high sugar levels are driven by carbs, and because my carb intake is so low and

my body now burns fat for energy rather than glucose, my blood sugars stay

pretty stable. It makes me angry that so many people are told that Diabetes is

a 'progressive' disease, when it doesn't need to be.

I saw a neighbor this morning who had followed the Diabetic advice for years who

has been blind for 20 years and has now lost his legs. The advice to eat

'plenty of starchy carbs' is nothing short of wicked. You only have to go on to

some of the low-carb Diabetic forums to see the benefits - and even reversals of

people's diabetes, by cutting out the evil carbs and sugars, especially

processed.

I have an egg drink for breakfast, some meat for lunch, another egg drink

mid-afternoon, and my dinner is meat or fish with a little non-starchy veg. I

am not exactly starving or nutritionally deficient!

Regards, Ali.

Thanks so much Alison! Wow, 10 months..I must be extremely patient then. My

burping episodes started back in March/April so hopefully it won't take so long.

You seemed to be so in tuned with your body. How do you know that your clearing

out of your hepatic system and lymph? I'm sorry it it's a silly question but

honestly, I wouldn't know the difference. I just kind of threw myself into this

whole new thing.

Also, you say you are diabetic, may I ask, when you first started diet, did only

having 3 meals 4 -5 hrs (no snacks in between) apart affect your blood sugar?

Alison, just reading about your success with the diet makes me feel so much

better. I really love this forum!

Thanks again,

Jess

This is great Alison. I hope I can become as in tuned w/ my body as you.

Yes, I feel weird twitchy nerve pulses (I call them that) and fear I have

parasites as well. I don't know anymore though.

I am not a diabetic but I definitely have a blood sugar issue and my mom is

type 2 and dad is hypoglycemic. I took my blood sugar this morning and it

was 94 fasting. This made me super depressed because I have completely cut

out out starches and sugar since Jan 1st. I only eat veggies and have been

using fit day to track my ratios. When I initially began this diet my blood

sugar was always really low and I would feel horrible. Then I stopped

checking because I felt I was going to drive myself crazy. Today I happened

to check out of curiosity and it was on the high side. Another, thing is

that I really think the burping and red lines in my eyes has to do with the

BS problem/ pancreas. I guess my body has to still adjust to the fats or

it's retracing. Fingers crossed....

I really appreciate you reaching out Alison. Like I said before, this forum

gives me hope and helps me realize that I am not alone.

Thank you!!

Jess

+++Hi Jess. Your body will also be retracing every symptom you've had in the

past, so that includes your blood sugar going up and down.

All the best, Bee
