A few years back, I read the version of colon cleansing mentioned in a first

translation of the Essene Gospels of Peace (Edmond Bordeaux Szekely), decribed

in some depth - if memory serves. The Essenes of Qumran were particularly

fond of body cleansing, believing it was an outward sign of an inner

transformation and that much dis-ease (being ill at ease with the physical

vehicle) was a

direct result of not caring for it properly. Ahhh..the wisdom of the ancients.
