Guest guest
Hi Ed, I haven't looked at my email for a while. Thanks for your reply; it was very helpful. . I am trying to stick to this diet, but more or less gave up over Christmas and am finding it difficult to start again, although have been eating healthier. My weakness is red wine (I live in France!) and some worries over my cholesterol level. Anyway, I am back on it again and I have a query. The first one re cholesterol. I had a blood test recently and my cholesterol level has gone up. It is now 3.5, g:l or 9,24 mmol/l. I'm giving you the two readings as they are in French and not sure if they are the same in the US. My LDL is 2,70 g/l with the recommended level being inferior to 1,60 g/l which makes the mmol/l level quite high.. It has gone up in the last year from 6,74mmol/l. My blood pressure is, thankfully, always normal. I have read what Bee says about cholesterol and the old-fashioned views and remember the article about eating lots of eggs and the level staying low. It is one thing if it stays low, but what about this increase? It has been increasing over the past 4 years. I am not taking anti colesterol medication, but should I worry? It's not as if I've always had a high level. Even though the Bee diet makes sense, should I at 51 take a chance that I might have a stroke or heart problem, heart problem being in my family? My second query is that as I live in France, I have a problem with the translation of products. I saw what I thought was Nutritional Yeast, but on further checking discovered that I had the choice of Brewer's yeast Flakes, which I didn't buy or Yeast Flakes MALTED, which I bought and am taking as I appear to be also getting fibre from this and my consipation has improved, but I'm not sure if it is making me ill, as I still have my usual symtoms (my fault for not sticking to it). I also read somewhere that Brewer's yeast was bad for Candida. My health food shop didn't have plain Nutritional Yeast Flakes and I can't find them as am living in a small town. Is it all the same thing? What is Nutritional Yeast made from or what product does it come from, so I may be able to tell my shop. Thanks again. ________________________________ From: Ed <imysterios@...> Sent: Tue, December 14, 2010 2:01:00 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Just started! > > Hi Ed, thanks for your reply to my query. And yes, once you are giving your body what it needs, omitting the unhealthy food & whatnot i.e sugar, alcohol ..etc, your body has more energy & nutrients to begin detoxification and healing. Weight gain or loss is difficult for a great many Candida suffers. However, weight will normalize as you progress. How long parts of the body takes in its detox and/or healing reaction varies. In one person it may take hours, days or perhaps 3-4 weeks. It depends how much healing needs to be done in that part of the body pending on the person. Therefore, patience and perseverance is key. Congrats on sticking to it and keep us posted on your progress. Healing takes time. Its like a cut on your finger, it heals at its own natural rate. I guess Ed wasn't around to reply to you. When your body is detoxifying cholesterol levels will go up because the body produces more cholesterol to help get rid of toxins. >> My second query is that as I live in France, I have a problem with the translation of products. What is Nutritional Yeast made from or what product does it come from, so I may be able to tell my shop. +++The correct Nutritional Yeast Flakes are prepared so the yeast itself is not alive. In other words, it is inactive. Evidently active yeasts in other products, like Brewer's yeast is a problem for candida. +++I think you can buy from iHerb in France and if you haven't ordered from them before you can get $5.00 US off your first order IF you give them my Rewards Number, and my iHerb page lists the supplements I recommend, including NOW Brand Nutritional Yeast Flakes: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/iherb.php All the best, Bee
