Guest guest
You can do it Elaine, just take some baby steps today. If concentrating on what you eat and meal plan is too much, just watch the portions! And see if you can at least go for a walk. 10 minutes, 15.....just start.....clear your head from all the heartache, and move on. jmho, Kate Hi Hi Everyone , How is everyone doing ?? I have missed reading and writing to this group . My son was in the hospital very seriously ill . He was in ICU for 5 days and the hospital for over 1 week . Noah's epilepsy went out of control his medication levels where just about non existant and he broke up with his girlfriend so it threw stress on top and it was enough to make him have seizures -- 3 days of non stop and then on the resperator and heavily sedated to make him stop having seizures . It was an entire nightmare . I cann't even remember what I ate or didn't eat I felt sick the whole time my husband would grab some fast food and we would stuff it in our face and keep on going . Also I didn't do any exercise for a week I am scared to start again its going to be so hard ---YUCK . I am mentally , physically and emotionally tired but I know if I get back on my plan of exercise and eating I will feel better . thanks alot elaine MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* To unsubscribe DO NOT send a message to the list. Please click on this link and unsubscribe:100-plus/join
Guest guest
>He was in ICU for 5 days and the hospital for over 1 week . Noah's epilepsy went out of OMG!! I hope he's doing better now and back under control. >I cann't even remember what I ate or didn't eat I'd be lucky to remember to brush my hair if I were under similar circumstances! >Also I didn't do any exercise for a week I'm sure you burned off some energy paching up and down the hallway outside ICU. >I am scared to start again its going to be so hard ---YUCK . You don't have to go out and run a marathon. Start nice and slow again, baby steps. Do some stretching, some walking. > but I know if I get back on my plan of exercise and eating I will feel better . Good to have you back. I hope things settle down into a nice little rut for you soon.
Guest guest
I hope your son is doing better. I have a Noah myself, and don't even want to think about ICU. I know what you mean about not being able to remember what you did. Our youngest son, Elijah, was in NICU for 10 days. I have very few memories of the whole thing. It seems like one of those dreams where as soon as it is over, it begins to fade. I hope they got his meds in balance! We will be praying for your family. Guest guest
Elaine, I hope that everything is better for you and your son. I totally understand about the health care system. Take care of yourself so that you can better take care of your son. It is like what they tell you on the airplane about those masks dropping down...put one on yourself first, then your child. It never made sense to me for a long time until I realized that if I don't care of myself, I cannot take care of my girls. Guest guest
Elaine, I know how difficult it can be getting in ANY *me* time when you have a child in the hospital. My 7 year old was in the hospital in Janurary with pylonephritis(kidney infection). She is special needs and it took her vomiting digested blood and high fever to get us to the hospital. The Dr thought it was just a bug at first, but sent us in anyways just to check her out. Anyhow... my point is it was even difficult for me to get a shower in while there let alone any time for me! I can't imagine being under the stress that I'm sure you were under! I'm glad to hear your son is home and doing better. It sounds like you have a good attitude about starting now, not tomrrow, or waiting until Monday, but doing it today! I have decided that if I fall off the wagon I'm not going to wait until the next day to start over, I figure the next meal is never too soon! Take care! a
Guest guest
I know you probably don't know me but I have been following 's story for a while. You are such an inpiration as a mum -- such a great advocate for your daughter. Nice to hear that she is doing so well and also learning to do her meds on her own. -Hadley (Isabelle, 4 yrs. Guest guest
Hi! I'm new here! I found this page while looking for candida diets online awhile ago:)I am from Norway but have been living in Australia nearly 5 years. I'm travelling at the moment together with my husband and 2 children:) I've had candida since I was 14 but only just found out about 10 months ago, I have been very sick last 5 years not knowing what it was(expecially after having children, and I had a lot of antibiotics those last years) I started to avoid sugar, wheat, milk etc etc for a long time, and went on a 6 week detox suggested by my Nathropath (but it was really hard as I was craving carbs so much) I was feeling better after the detox, but only a few weeks here and there... Since I was feeling better I decided to go and visit my family in Norway and after that we went to India to visit an orphanage (my husband is putting up an aquaponics system where he will grow fish and veggies). I am now in india and have crashed completely. Extreme fatuige and very dizzy, just lifting one arm is exhausting. I havn't been able to follow a healthy diet as much as I would like on the trip!I'm also not able to get everything here..only small markets.. I am drinking alot of coconut water and eating coconut flesh, is that not okay for candida? I thought maybe it has caused 'die off symptoms' and since they add a lot of garlic and tumeric to the food here as well,it could be the reason I feel sick?? I eat rice, potatoes, veggies, fish and chicken here and eggs and sometimes curd and some fruit and nuts (but it is not organic) and I use ghee for frying... (I know that curd and fruit is not allowed on candida diet) If I cut out rice I get so axhaused and hungry it is not possible at the moment, I managed in australia better, but I had more choices when it came to fresh veggies and meat... I am desperate to feel better! We are still going to stay here in India a coupla more months. So I would like some tips of what I can do to get a little more strenght? Going onto a candida diet now seems impossible... I will slowly go towards this diet when I get back to Australia. I have had some wheat here in India, but not too much, I had to explain to the cooks here that I could not eat wheat, sugar, vegetable oils etc etc, so I had to eat the food they prepared the first week:) The diet seem impossible, is it really possible?? It will be very expensive and you can't go out for dinner or go to peoples places for tea, birthday parties etc etc.. There are so many candida diets out there, but not as strict as this one.. What do you think of the diet on this page yeastinfectionadvisor.com ? I'm sorry guys, I'm writing too much:) I have so many questions I don't even know where to start!! Hava good night:) Tina
