Yes, Theresa shredded coconut is the same thing.

Coconut fiber

I have been recently reading about coconut fiber. I use organic,

shredded coconut, mostly on my salads. Isn't this the same thing as

coconut fiber? I can't imagine the fiber coming from any part of the

coconut other than the meat.

Almost the same, but not quite. Dried coconut meat contains 63 grams

of lipids and 16 grams of sugars per 100 gram, according to the USDA

Hi Jen,

It's the amount of sugar (natural carbohydrate) that is in the meat of the

coconut that makes it not suitable for Bee's diet.

Fiber isn't good for us anyway.
