Guest guest
Bee, Does it matter if you use the coconut oil in cooking or take it straight out of the jar? Does cooking destroy or diminish any of the benefits in fighting candida? Chris Bee wrote, Re: Pureed Foods Foods List: .. Ground up meats, i.e. poultry, pork, beef, lamb, etc. .. Vegetables on the Food's List except for green leafy vegetables. Green leafy vegetables take a very long time to cook properly, 50 minutes or more, so it best not to include them when pureeing foods. Procedure: 1. Cook ground up meats in coconut oil on low heat, or cook them in water, just until they are cooked to medium. Do not overcook meats since it binds the protein molecules closer together which makes them more difficult to digest. 2. Vegetables should be well-cooked so their cell walls (fibers) are broken down releasing the nutrients in them, which is when they can be easily mashed with a fork - see Raw Versus Cooked Carbs (Plant Foods): http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg3.php 3. Put cooked foods into a blender or food processor, either separately or together, as desired, with enough liquid so they will puree into a thick smooth baby-food-like consistency. (It has a smoking point of 177°C or 350°F. No cooking oil should be heated above its smoking point.) Unrefined CO does not readily oxidise (degraded by oxygen) like unsaturated oils (plant oils) do when heated. It is the ideal oil for deep frying and is safe to use several times over - See this reference: http://www.kokonutpacific.com.au/OilSales/OilIndex.html?OilCoconutoil/Oil_faq.ht\ mlIt has a high burning point. Meats must be cooked on low heat only until they are medium, so they are easier to digest - I fry meats on #2 on my stove dial, which is very low heat. You can also pour CO over meats and vegetables after they are cooked, make mayonnaise and marinades with it, or Bee's Egg Drink: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe167.php Here's my recipes section: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/index.php See this article for more information about cooked versus raw fats, meats and plant foods (carbs): http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cook7.php Bee
