If you have cal/mag imbalances you would get lower leg and foot cramps, like a Charlie Horse, and sometimes cramps in your hands and wrist that make them lock up intensely, called tetany. Also, if you've ever had those pains or had an injury in those areas in the past your body will be retracing them as it heals: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
> > Wow, I never knew about the foot cramps. I get those about once a week and had no idea why. Does that mean Calcium or Mag is too high? +++Hi There are factors that interfere with calcium and magnesium balance, including a lack of other minerals. So ensure you are taking the correct amount and kind of cal/mag and that you are taking 1.5 teaspoons of ocean sea salt per day, and that you are also drinking good water, which is tap water filtered by a charcoal-type filter such as Brita or PUR. Also if you consume too many foods or teas that are diuretic (meaning they get rid of water) they will also get rid of important minerals. Foods that are diuretic include green vegetables (some people go overboard on them), caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate). Also ensure you are not having any kind of " green " drinks or products like chlorophyll, chlorella, blue-green algae, etc. which are also diuretic. If you take baking soda to settle your stomach, be cautious not to have too much, since it is high in sodium which is also diuretic, which can throw off mineral balances. Less than 2 teaspoons total per day may be okay, taken in 1/4 teaspoon doses at a time. People who like sardines get more calcium since there is 300 mg in every can, which can also throw off the cal/mag ratio, in which case you would lower your calcium on days when you eat a can. Consuming 3 mugs of Mineral-Rich Bone Broth in a day provides plenty of calcium and magnesium, in which case you should not take cal/mag supplements on days you consume that much. If you have any dairy products other than butter, they will also throw off your cal/mag balance, and as you know they are not allowed on this program, and that's why I recommend taking the amounts of cal/mag I do. I need less cal/mag because I'm healthy and can have dairy products. Minerals can only be utilized in the body if you get the correct combination of good fats recommended on this program, including cod liver oil (contains omega 3, and vitamins A & D), vitamin E, saturated fats like unrefined coconut oil, butter, lard, and other animals fats. Of course all of the nutrients work together, i.e. protein, vitamins, minerals, fats, etc. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Thank you very much for your response Bee, my back is better today and I already had jaw pain in the past so it should be retracing or healing reaction. All the best, Adri. > > > > > Hi Bee, > > > > I have jaw and back pain since two days, could it be a calcium / magnesium imbalance?
