Guest guest
My husband is not on Bee's diet but he is seriously considered doing the meat/fat program. I have a few questions. The article says " When a person is able to consume at least the lower range of their fat ratios they would be able to do this program. " Since he is 6'5 " the lower range is 239 grams. So does that mean he has to be consuming that much fat before starting the meat/fat program, but then he doesn't have to maintain that amount of fat, just stay with the 80/20 ratio? He really wants to make beef jerky. I've explained to him that dehydrated foods are hard to digest and not recommended but he still really wants it. Is this a complete no-no? He travels sometimes for work so I'm sure it would be hard for him to stick to the program then. If he doesn't stick to it for a day or more at a time is it going to have really adverse effects? What about cheats, does the 'once a week rule' apply to this program also? Lastly, the article says to only have one egg drink a day. Can two be consumed if the spices are omitted or cut in half between the two? Thanks so much in advance, Becki

Yes, he must be consuming that much fat in order before he can start on the all meat and fat program. He should also lower his carbs gradually otherwise he can get constipated. After he starts on the all meat and fat program he only maintains the amount of fat and protein by calorie count, i.e. 80/20 ratio. > > He really wants to make beef jerky. I've explained to him that dehydrated foods are hard to digest and not recommended but he still really wants it. Is this a complete no-no? +++The reason they are harder to digest is because dehydrating foods pulls the moisture out which makes the molecules pack closer together, making them very hard to digest, since digestion has to pull the molecules apart. > > He travels sometimes for work so I'm sure it would be hard for him to stick to the program then. You can have as many egg drinks per day as you wish, but in the long-run they should never be the only food you consume since you need nutrients from other foods too. That is a lot! > > He really wants to make beef jerky. I've explained to him that dehydrated foods are hard to digest and not recommended but he still really wants it. He has always been a " meat and potatoes " kind of guy. So this program sounds like something he could do. > > Lastly, the article says to only have one egg drink a day. That is a lot! You calculated him out at 239grams of fat per day. It DOES seem a lot till you start making the necessary changes. One man on Bee's program eats twice/day, only eating protein and fat. Seems to me he has about 1 lb of meat at each meal and then adds in butter to cook in. I'm trying to remember how Josh consumes his coconut oil... Then he adds eggs to each of those meals to increase fat intake. I'm 5'6 " and the last time I counted, I'm getting about 180grams of fat/day. It comes from 3 whole eggs, 5.5 Tbsp coconut oil, about 3 Tbsp butter and then the naturally-occurring fat in meat (choose dark chicken, for instance, with the skin, fatty meats, etc.). It can be done, but as Bee cautioned, don't do it all in one day; it'll be too much and he will get too many healing reactions. Take her advice and start slowly... " I guess I misunderstood it to mean just one per day. Hi there, Oh, I didn't realize you were referring to my all meat and fat program, which is different. Since the Egg Drink contains carbs, which are the spices and stevia and the all meat and fat program is no carbs, only 1 Egg Drink drink should be consumed per day unless you make it without any spices. Or is that only if we chose to have more than one egg drink/day?
