Why avoid zucchini and yellow squash? Us American-Italians live on that

stuff!

Hi Irene,

I am new to this forum. Why do you avoid fresh zucchini and summer squash? I

have fructose malabsorption, and I need to include veggies in my diet even if

they don't exactly follow the ER4YT plan. Those two, along with dark green

leafy veggies are the few that I can eat without getting a reaction.

Thanks,

Elsa

I eat tuna or salmon a few times per week, fish oil & flax oil caps,

ground flax seed in smoothies, sprinkled on food, etc. I still eat a lot

of beef and lamb, and my cholesterol is under 200. =-)

I got a report on my cholesterol levels this morning. The doctor was not

happy and wants me to take a prescription. Since I have MCS (Multiple

Chemical Sensitivity) taking a drug is out of the question.

The technician that called me told me to go on a diet of mostly grains

and beans. I told her that was not possible.

Do any of you have any experience with lowering your cholesterol by

natural means? What can we O's do to keep it down? Or get it down?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Those and (Hawaaian) papaya are genetically modified so you are

eating insecticide.

get organic versions then they are fine.

But the real Italians ban the GMO junk :-) They have not got

Monsanto stuffing insecticide down their throats.

I thought I was a type O and followed that diet for 3 years. My Chol went to

normal. I found out I was an A and eating red meat works, along with high

protein fish.

With respect - that is not true and also ill advised for type O

people as Maureen is.

I eat a very high meat and egg diet, and it confirms what the new

research also shows - namely that red meat does not harm your

cholesterol. The damage is caused by eating starch

- which by the way is from plants not meat:-)

I'd drop dead on that but I am glad it works for you:-)

My illness prevents the exercise so i need to use diet for that as well.

Mine is 76 which is fine I think on my lamb chop and two or more eggs

a day diet:-)

But I agree that exercise is great if you can do it.

Adapt or die?

The BEST thing to eat in the morning is eggs eggs eggs.

Fruit is actually potentially harmful due to fructose inflammation

UNLESS you exercise it off right away.

> Try to exclude vegetable oil in your meals

Exclude seed oil as that is inflammatory - but include as much extra

virgin olive oil as possible - at every measl and snack - it melts

fat away.

So does the fat in walnuts,. macadamias.

If the seed is GMO seed - and they do not need to label it - that

will make GMO food, even if you grow your own.

You'd need to start with Organic non Gmo seed.

Horrible situation this GMO pollution of our food.

It is not obvious how really bad it is:-(

That is what I found raised my cholesterol years back.. I had " metabolic

syndrome " I suppose... Insulin Resistance, High Cholesterol etc... when I

lowered my refined carbs, and exercised, the insulin resistance backed off

and the cholesterol went back to normal. I was eating plenty of different

meats at the time.

I just did blood work for insurance purposes. My cholesterol level is now 330.

I'm not concerned but hubby is. My cholesterol has always been okay. I'm going

to have to retake the test. Is there anything I can do to lower my cholesterol?

Doctor wants to medicate immediately of course that's a no no for my.

Thanks

Colleen

+++Hi Colleen,

When your body is detoxifying itself, like it does on this program, your

cholesterol will increase. Eventually it normalizes again.

Also if you have low thyroid your cholesterol will be higher.

There's nothing you can do that will lower it quickly.

All the best, Bee
