hi bee...

i just read what you wrote to another member regarding the connection between

the heart and digestive issues. and how sometimes there is a connection.

one of the first things i experienced after my brother was shot was reflux. i

only had a heaertburn sensation for maybe 2 days but the throat was very tight

for a while, and i had trouble swallowing foodmy stomach literally felt

swollen.. the more i have sat with what is happening in my body the more i was

feeling that the cause of all that i have been experiencing was my digestion. so

when you said it the other day it reaffirmed my own thinking.

i did try taking hcl acouple days ago and got heartburn after 1 capsle. you said

maybe i dont need it. if i am having digestive issues wouldnt hcl help? i drink

sea salt water with food, and i was drinking a lot of ginger tea but felt it was

worsening things. i have cut back on coconut oil...i havent seen an improvment

yet. is there anything else i can do to help digestion?

it seems as though my throat gets hypersensitive now to foods, also things in

the air, and negative thinking...

+++Hi Arianna,

The reason you got heartburn, had trouble swallowing, etc. was because of the

severe stress. Stress like that makes your body run on its fight/flight nervous

system which affects many functions throughout your body, including these, from

the Deep Breathing article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/breath4.php

* your mouth becomes dry because saliva production is decreased

* your breathing becomes more shallow yet you are breathing faster

* your lungs and bronchial tubes are expanded to provide more oxygen

* your stomach produces much less stomach acid (HCl)

* the movement of your bowels is slowed down

* it is more difficult to urinate, since the valve to your bladder is kept

closed

* your heart rate increases, as well as the force of heart contractions (it

feels like pounding in your chest)

* the pupils in your eyes get larger (open up)

* your adrenals glands increase production of adrenaline and other hormones

* blood is sent to the brain while skin and internal organs get less oxygen

* muscle tension is increased

That's why I recommended you do deep breathing exercises and things that help

you relax. You should do them before you start eating, and at other times when

you get any of the above.

You may not need HCl at all, instead do deep breathing. Also you do not want to

drink a lot of ginger tea since it makes your body lose water along with

minerals.

It will take time for your stress to lower because of the horrible tragedies you

endured. You cannot expect it to happen soon.

All the best, Bee
