Wow, you changed over very quickly, which may cause you problems. You should

gradually lower your carbs and increase your fats since good fats cause many

healing and detoxifying symptoms, and lowering carbs too fast may cause

constipation until your fats are up high enough - follow the instructions in

The electrolyte drink is optional since some people starting on this program

aren't able to tolerate lemons.

You should calculate your protein, fat and carb ratios which are the same ratios

Dr. Jan K recommends, so you are getting the amounts suitable for your body size

I don't know if Dr. Jan K. actually wrote that statement about ketosis, and it

doesn't make sense that everyone should have at least 50g of carbs per day due

to different body sizes. Also many people are on all meat and fat programs and

they don't lose any muscles. The only reason a person loses muscle is IF their

body doesn't get enough protein so they body has to rob it from their muscles.

That's why the Eskimos and Masai warriors in Africa that Dr. Weston Price

studied were the healthiest of the primitive groups he researched, yet they only

consumed meat and fat, and no carbs - his book is Nutrition and Physical

Dr. Jan K. writes about consuming enough carbs so your body doesn't " have to "

convert meats and fats to fulfill its glucose requirements, since carbs are

cheaper than meats and fats.
