Muscroft likes Polar Power Sock Eye Salmon Oil because its all natural forms of A & D and has no flavours or soy. Its not CLO though but most times they want you to use that is for & D as wll as the EPA/DHA and Polar Power has it all

HI Alison

We don't use CLO however have got on well with Lamberts pure fish oil caps..Total oil 1100mg   EPA 360mg DHA 240 mg  Tash cannot tolerate soy either.. This is 5 stage purified oils, d tecopheral and gelatin and glycerin.  Lamberts stuff has generally been pretty low allergy

She has had up to four a day of these for the past 4 or 5 years.. I am registered as a practitioner with Lamberts so if it looks like a product for you let me know and I can get it at practitioner prices .

This is interesting, the main problem is the tendency for this level of DHA to lead to a high level of pro-inflammatory thromboxanes, prostaglandins and leukotrienes to be produced as the oil is metabolized which counteracts the effect you are hoping to get by from the EPA. This is assuming that this is not taken during an active period of cell membrane proliferation when higher levels of DHA are needed. Are you using the cod liver oil or the omegas.  The childrens omegas have a different ratio of EPA to DHA compared with the cod liver oil.Alison ROn 5 October 2010 19:35, Zahra Awan <zahrawaheed@...> wrote:

Hi Bee,

Since you researched Cod Liver Oil and have said more is not better I'm

wondering if when I take the capsules I should take less than more. Right now I

take 2 of the Life Time Omega-3 pills along with 3 of the Natural Factors

Halibut Liver Oil pills. I noticed that I'd still be within the daily range if I

took 2 of the Halibut Liver Oil pills which would be (20,000 IU Vitamin A and

800 IU Vitamin D). Then when I take 2 of the Life Time Omega 3 pills I'd be a

little under at 1,904mg of Omega 3.

Do you think it's best for me to take less like this since you said more is not

better? Or should I take 3 of the Life Time Omega-3 pills along with 3 of the

Natural Factors Halibut Liver Oil pills?

Or doesn't it really matter either way?

Thanks for clarifying this for me.

+++Hi . Take 3 Life Time Omega-3 pills, which is a total of 2,856 mg,

since the range of Omega 3s is 2,000 mg - 3,000 mg [EPA plus DHA].

Ok, I will take 3 of the Life Time Omega pills then but what about the halibut

liver oil ones? Should I stick to 3/day or should I just take 2/day?

Thanks,

Hi Bee,

I know I can do the calculation on my own which I already did. My question was

do you recommend taking 2 or 3 pills/day of the halibut liver oil being both are

within the range but you always say more isn't better. Or doesn't it matter

either way?

Thanks,

+++Hi ,

You can calculate this yourself, so you need to take Halibut liver oil so it is

in these ranges:

Vitamin A: 20,000 IU - 30,000 IU

Vitamin D: 800 IU - 1,200 IU

Omega-3: 2,000 mg - 3,000 mg [EPA plus DHA]

I take The Garden of Life lemon mint flavor cod liver oil. I've been

taking 2 TBS as I saw that was the recommended amount in one of your

articles/charts on your website? Did you revise your recommendation lately?

Because according to the above ranges I should be taking 1 TBS and 1 tsp per

day. (2tsp less). Two tsp less would be swell as that would save me money.

I'm also almost 7 months pregnant so I'm wondering if I should keep it at 2 TBS

even though you said more is not better.

What are the new ranges for children?

Thank You in Advance,

Nichole

+++Hi ,

To avoid any more confusion I changed the iHerb page to 3 Life Time softgels and

3 Halibut Liver Oil softgels per day.

+++Hi ,

I announced the change March 3rd on the group and corrected my articles, as

noted here:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php#s9

Even though you are pregnant do not take 2 tablespoon.
