Guest guest
Gail, It's certainly like that for us gluten free people (well, which I guess is all of us on here). If you give up something for awhile then have a whole big helping of it, your body certainly lets you know. I went to another state a couple weeks ago for my nephew's wedding. I decided that since I've been pretty strict on this diet for just ending my 8th month I would go out on a limb and have a " Bad Cheat " (Wedding Cake of course!) I found it fascinating that about 20 minutes after eating the cake I developed a runny nose and started to become stuffed up like an allergy then my adrenals started to hurt. I was wondering why I've eaten Junk for soooooooooooooo many years and never had any noticable adverse reactions to what I ate and I think that's because my body was sooooooooooo sick it couldn't react. I think the reaction I had to the cake was because my body has healed enough to do what it's suppose to do...work at expelling toxins from the body. I just found that whole experience very interesting. So I guess there is some progress happening although I still have not gained an ounce in 8 months. You are really understanding the healing and detoxifying processes and that IS progress, along with the progress your body is making!
