Guest guest
Also, the 5 gallon at MRH is $205 with shipping (I live in TX), which is $41 per gallon. (If you can afford to shell out that much at once.) Pamela, is the taste of the MRH as good as Nutiva? I like a strong coconut flavor. I'm a little nervous buying 5 gallons since I've never bought coco oil from them before. Maybe I'll buy a smaller size first. Guest guest
Do you have any friends in the neighborhood who would go with you on buying a bigger amount of coconut oil? We bought 2 cases of 4 one gallon tubs each. There were 7 of us who each wanted a gallon and later somebody' sister bought the last gallon. There was a discount on the case of 4 gallons from Nutiva. Not sure if the 5 gallon bucket would have been a better bargain or not. But nobody wanted to spend the time measuring it out for each one. Guest guest
Re Wilderness Family: shipping is free when you order a case, so per gallon cost is $48 if you signup for their free buying club. Weston Price folks recommend this brand highly. I'd like to know how much was the shipping for Wilderness Family. I just ordered another gallon from Mountain Rose Herbs; it was $39 plus shipping, which came to $50.56. The previous time I ordered, it came to $55.51, so their cost is actually going down a little bit. At any rate, they beat Nutiva's price by over $30 per gallon. Good enough for me. Guest guest
Can anyone tell me about the taste of Wildnerness Family or Mountain Rose Herbs coconut oil? Are they a strong coconut flavor? How does they compare to other brands? Guest guest
Hi , I recently ordered CO from Wilderness Family and it has a mild coconut flavor. I like Nutiva much better but Wilderness Family is still good. It just tastes more mild to me and I like it stronger. So you may like it if you don't care for the strong coconut flavor. It's still very creamy though. Hope this helps. Can anyone tell me about the taste of Wildnerness Family or Mountain Rose Herbs coconut oil? Are they a strong coconut flavor? How does they compare to other brands? Thanks,
