I have one question and I feel dumb for asking, but here goes - I see everyone post after their name DOB. I finally figured out that was date of band and not date of birth, but then there is a series of three numbers, such as 200/150/175 (just an example). What are these? I am assuming the first number is beginning weight, but what are the other two? Just curious. Thanks,Kristi Moody friends. Drama queens. Your life? Nope! - their life, your story. Guest guest
For most of us I think it is really our date of birth in that it is the beginning of a whole new life. The first number is your weight at the beginning, the second is what you weigh now & the third is your goal weight. So in your example the second & third number should be switched because hopefully you don't weigh 150 now with a goal of 175. Steve > > I am scheduled for surgery next friday. Guest guest
My comments are below: Steph A few questions Hello All, I recently joined and would like to ask a few questions. I’ve been through the group and have read quite a bit of the literature there (although some of the .pdf links are broken). I purchased Lugol’s solution in the hopes that it would help what I believe is a hypothyroidism problem. I’ve done several patch tests and the iodine continually disappears quickly. I’m on my 3rd week of Lugol’s…4 x a day 8 drops. This is the recommended dose for parasite cleansing which I figured wouldn’t hurt on top of trying to fix my sluggishness, resistance to weight loss and other symptoms. This dose is supposed to last 3 weeks and then stop. My question is to determine at what dose I should continue in order to address my deficiency. <<SB>> What % solution is the Lugol's you have? 5% or 2%? About how long does it take for one’s iodine levels to become “normal”? <<SB>> I have not seen one person yet to get to 90% saturation when tested with the loading test (www.hakalalabs.com ) I am on year 3 of high doses of 50 - 100 and 125 mgs supplementation. Saturation is 50% as of November 08. This week I did develop a bit of a cold (sinuses, heaviness in the head, glands) – sore glands in the neck area…not unlike having a cold, should I be worried or is this a coincidence? <<SB>> There is a cold /bronchial crud going around. Patch tests still seem to show that I’m deficient…done on my abdomen, bicep and other places. What’s the best way to do a patch test (to avoid the critics that state that iodine evaporates?) <<SB>> The patch test is not a good indicator of full body saturation levels. You need to do the Iodine loading test as referenced above. http://www.optimox.com/pics/Iodine/updates/UNIOD-02/UNIOD_02.htm My thyroid has always tested within “normal” ranges – which I understand is typical. Is there any way I can determine whether or not the iodine loading will indeed assist in my body becoming “normal” i.e. at my normal weight, not tired, sluggish, etc.? <<SB>> Many people are in the thyroid ranges and yet their thyroid is not normal. If you are in the low end of the Free T3 and Free T4 ranges then you have a problem. Most are finding 50 mgs is what they need to start feeling well. Sorry for all the questions, but for a “newbie” can someone point me in the right direction…could use some of your expert feedback J
Guest guest
Hi : Do you mind posting your thyroid test results? Sometimes when the doctor says you are in normal range it is really not the normal range. Also, according to your symptoms, you may indeed have low thyroid or sluggish adrenals, imho. Guest guest
Thanks Steph, I have a 5% Lugol’s solution J which I believe would put me 104mg a day (4x 8 drops at 6.5 per 2 drops) is this accurate? After my first three weeks should I lower it to the 50mg that you mention that most folks are having good results? I will take a look at the link (hakalabs) and then the second link for the iodine loading information. The thyroid tests I had done were several years ago. The bronchial crud (well put) seems to be lifting so I’m happy about that. Interestingly enough, this morning I feel a bit more energized also and it’s not quite the end of three weeks. As far as adrenals go…is there a link with suggestions on how to perk them up? Thanks everyone I’m SO glad I was pointed to this group! Guest guest
Hi Bee, My name is & I am 34yrs old. I have had Candida for 10 years. I have been completely on your program since Jan 31st, 2011. I Just have a few quick questions; 1. When I did the Children's test (on your website) to see if my 2 yr old son may have Candida, it said at the end, most children can recover from using Threelac? Is this just a link from somewhere else or do you agree with that? 2. I have noticed you have said sex can release stress, but can I give Candida to my husband by having sex? My husband has type 1 diabetes & I would hate to give it to him. 3. I gag every time I have Coconut oil. I drink your egg drink to get a good intake & also put it on my Veggies & cook all my meat with it. Is that enough? Or should I toughen up & take it by the mouthful? 4. The only thing I am not doing is the enemas. Will I be really disadvantaged if I do not do them? I have a friend that does them. Could I go to her clinic instead? Thanks for your time. You do a great job & we are so lucky to have found you. I read all your information & could not find answers to my above questions. Hope I am not wasting your time. Kind regards,
