Greetings:

I am drinking less apple juice as I switch to vegetable juice, since I prefer

to lower the sugar content of my diet. However, I am mindful of the need for

malic acid.

I checked into Malic Acid and often it seems in combo with magnesium. Further

investigation revealed that the idea is that straight malic acid will chelate

aluminium in your system and the magnesium acts as a binder for it to escort

it out of the system . Here is the info:

Ingredients: Magnesium Malate 1000mg, Malic Acid 825mg, Magnesium 152mg.

Source Naturals' magnesium malate is a fully reacted compound of magnesium

and malic acid. Malic acid is a natural fruit acid, present in every cell in the

body. It is part of the energy-generating Krebs' cycle and is also an

excellent chelator of aluminum. However, malic acid in its free form may

actually

promote undesirable absorption of aluminum from the gut. Magnesium malate has

the

ability to exchange its magnesium for aluminum. This beneficial action may

gradually reduce the body's burden of excess aluminum.

My objection to using magnesium is that it seems to make me sleepy, so I try

to take the daily dose of magnesium (Elyte's Magnesium drops) at night before

bed.

What do you guys who take malic acid do? What kinds do you use?

I feel like the sludge/stones are shifting again so I want to get some

stone-busting action going quickly. I cannot tolerate Gold Coin Grass although I

can

tolerate and take Chinese Bitters and alternate Coptis and curcuma at night

(along with the magnesium drops)

Thanks for the help.
