Guest guest
Thank you. But this article references making B-vitamins from baker's yeast, not brewer's yeast. I tried it, but it requires a lot more water than 1 cup water for 1 lb. of the compressed yeast. I like the taste okay, especially for putting in beverages, because it doesn't have the " cheesy " flavor of nutritional yeast flakes. (I like the flakes for putting on top of scrambled eggs, etc.) But nowhere on the internet can I find how much B-vitamins are contained in a portion (how much?) of this preparation. Any ideas? I don't know how much B vitamins are in brewer's yeast, but the article says 1 person would take use up 1 pound in 3-4 weeks by taking a few spoonfuls per day, however that's not very specific. References for people who are okay taking brewer's yeast without inactivating the yeast, say to take 1-2 tablespoons per day either added to foods or dissolved in liquid. So after inactivating the yeast I think you'd take the same amount, which is 2 tablespoons per day. Bee
