Guest guest
Hi Irma, Nutiva says there's been a decrease in coconut oil production, so prices are going up. I guess I will be buying from Mountain Rose Herbs, which sells a gallon for $52 and 5 gallons for $205. This is the cheapest unrefined VCO I could find. The 54 oz bottle from Nutiva would only last me 2 weeks, and I live alone! Good luck, On Wed, Mar 30, 2011 at 1:32 PM, <irmaskustad@...> wrote: > > > Hi there, > I just noticed that Nutivia increased their price on the one gallon extra > virgin coconut oil.It was only 55 and now it's 87.99 wow. Guest guest
Wow... so the price of Nutiva's gallon size of coconut oil is up to $87.99... When I first started on Bee's diet about a year and a half ago, it was $39.99 for 1 gallon, and the shipping was free for any order over $30.00. It's been going up several dollars every few months. Jeez... at this rate, I'm not buying any more Nutiva products unless I win the lottery! I checked Mountain Rose just now too... the 1 gallon of unrefined coconut oil is $39.00, and shipping will be probably another $12.00, bringing the total to about $51.00. I'm going to reorder this Friday when I get paid. The Vitacost stuff isn't too bad in price either, especially if you buy enough to get free shipping. Vitamin Shoppe, in April and September, has a sale on their own brands of stuff (including coconut oil) where, if you buy two items, the second one is half off. And you can mix and match. They don't carry large sizes in their own brand of coconut oil, although I have bought it in a pinch. At this point I'm not inclined to join a co-op, so Mountain Rose is probably the best I can do right now in terms of price. Believe it or not, there are other, even more expensive coconut oil brands being sold on the internet. Years ago, before I started Bee's diet, I bought some of this stuff. It tasted good, but I wasn't using such huge quantities. I don't always measure the 3 TBSP; I usually eyeball it, and so am usually using more than the required amount. Three tablespoons is the maintenance dose after you are healthy, like me. Bee
Guest guest
I wasn't being totally clear. I am up to the 6 TBSP total daily. What I do is take 3 TBSP twice per day in my soup. Would you recommend it? +++Hi , I have an affiliate program with Amazon.com and yes they are very reputable. Please order through the ad on my website, and since I do not have Nutiva Coconut Oil on my Amazon page use the search at the top so it will have my tracking code and I can get some credit for your purchase: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/amazonprous.php Thanks in advance, Bee : )
Guest guest
I order Nutiva 54 oz. from Amazon.com at $32.00 for 2 jars postpaid. I am on automatic delivery every two months. Before they ship I receive an email asking for confirmation. The price has gone up about $1 since I started purchasing it automatically. Guest guest
I think it has gone up, because every article you read, tv show you watch, is recommending coconut oil. Also, I think the price of salmon is going to skyrocket, because it is talked about over and over and over again. Let's face it there is only so many fish to go around, and with all the demand.....those poor fish don't stand a chance. People stopped eating various other fish and have now gone to eating salmon only. Plus I read that wild salmon are caught to feed farmed raised salmon. So, thinking in the not so far off distance future wild salmon will become very few. (with all the demand) I don't know.....but just my two cents. > > I order Nutiva 54 oz. from Amazon.com at $32.00 for > 2 jars postpaid. I am on automatic delivery every two > months.
