Guest guest
Is there a natural treatment for infant ear infection? My 14 month old and my two year old both have ear infections. We went to the doctor to confirm and the dr said the only treatment is antibiotics. I have done epsom salt baths. But they are both crying in pain. Any suggestions? Thank you, Amy
Guest guest
-My son can not do pasteurized milk. We eliminated milk from his diet and has not had an ear infection in two years. I think pasteurized milk effects the enzymes that break down the lactose/ Or for some of us we just don't digest cow lactose very well. I think they did studies were they gave calf's pasteurized milk and they were much more unhealthy than when given the untreated raw milk. Pasteurized cow milk gave me sinus congestion growing up. The sinus congestion was not a detox symptom because I was very healthy active kid with no health problems at all. If I get a ear congestion i get some garlic juice put it on a cotton ball and insert in the ear. I try to be careful that the garlic juice is in the middle of the cotton ball so it doesnt irritate the skin. For sinus congestion i have actually gotten a garlic clove cut just the very " tip " of it(so only the tip is exposed) and stick it in the nostril and pull it out right before it feels like its going to burn. This clears my congestion better than any nasal /salt rinse that I have done. Don't think the kids would appreciate this too much. My wife thought this was not normal but now she sticks a clove in her nose when she gets congested Sometimes ear infections can be fungal/viral rather than bacteria related. So sometimes antibiotics can do more harm than good. I know Dr. Merola did an article on this recently. You could check into that as well. Guest guest
Hello Amy, Here is an article on Bee's site for ear treatments: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat8.php I've personally used a combination of Coconut Oil and Tea Tree Oil. I've also given this to a friend and she said it worked. Combine 9 drops of Tea Tree Oil and 1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil. For an adult, place 2-3 drops in the ear 2 times a day with an eye dropper. Not sure if the number of drops should be lowered for a little one. Maybe try a drop or two. Let me know if it works if you try it. I do believe ear infections are really toxins coming out through the ears. It's painful as the toxins are coming out. Guest guest
Thank you , I was a little hesitant to use TTO so I used chopped garlic(infused-no garlic chunks in the oil put in the ear) in the coconut oil. I will check out the TTO too. A little scary to not use antibiotics. This will be a first. I will let you know how it goes! Thank you! Guest guest
Hi Amy I have been on Bee's plan on and off for a year or so. I used to have really, really painful ear infections too. I used to make a cup of chamomile tea and wait for it to cool down. Then I used to drop the lukewarm liquid into my ear. You can use cold if you prefer. You will hear a 'whooshing' sound, then....peace. In minutes! This is my personal experience and it works everytime for me. However, it would be advisable to wait for Bee's response and her advice on this subject. Any suggestions? +++Hi Amy, The fastest treatment for ear infections I've had was with my grandson when he was 9 months old, and it was garlic. You know how babies cry and pull at their ears, and their ears are very red? I put raw crushed garlic cut into a cube which was small enough to put in his ear, and within 5 minutes he stopped crying. When it dries it falls out. One time my daughter dropped him off with infection in both ears, and said " Don't put that awful smelling garlic in his ears, I'm going to get perscription ear drops instead. " I was able to get it in one ear, but she came back too quickly. The ear I put the garlic in was not problem, but he suffered with the other one for some time. However, I recommend you put a couple drops of olive oil in the ears first, and then put in the garlic. Or better yet, buy garlic oil at the health store. All the best, Bee

Guest guest
Hi Amy, I remember the first time I went without antibiotics for a sinus " infection " . I kept having to remind myself I was detoxing. I also went through root canaled tooth being pulled without antibiotics. After a week, the site was very painful and the drainage had an odor. The dentist office told me it was infected. My dear friend who is on the diet, reminded me that I was detoxifying through it. Sometimes when you are weary and in pain, those reminders are very necessary. The antibiotic would have stopped the detoxification and those toxins would have lead to more problems down the road.
