Guest guest
Hi Bee-- I have a few questions about HCL... I have REALLY low HCL-- and have been taking it for almost 2 years, before even starting the diet. -Is there a particular reason you do not recommend taking more than 10hcl pills per meal? I live in Seattle and I have heard Bastyr trained nutritionists see patients that need up to 26per meal because their HCL is so low. From what I've read the average stomach produces the equivalent of 36pills in normal digestion. -When on is allowed to have raw cream(when healthy) would you need to take HCL with when having raw ice cream if you still have low stomach acid(raw cream, yolks, etc)? I wasn't sure if dairy fat requires HCL for digestion.. Thanks Bee!

I do not recommend more than 10 HCl " on my program " because there are many body functions, nutrients, etc. working together that influence the production of HCl. I cannot speak for people who are not on my program. > -When on is allowed to have raw cream(when healthy) would you need to take HCL with when having raw ice cream if you still have low stomach acid(raw cream, yolks, etc)? Stress causes your body to run on its fight/flight nervous system which lowers HCl production, slows the movement of the intestines, changes hormone production, etc. Fat in dairy products help your body digest its proteins and lactose/sugars. I am 69 years old and healthy, but I cannot have milk with only 3.5% M.F. (butterfat content); of course I cannot get raw dairy here in Ontario, Canada. The lowest M.F. content dairy I can have is 10% (half & half cream). All the best, Bee
